“Young hero of Azeroth welcome to Stormwind (or Ogramar). Your training in exiles reach is over and it’s time for you to embark on an epic quest. Come to Stormwind keep (or horde alternitive) where we will meet up with the bronze Dragonflight and begin our quest through time.”
{portals like that in the tale of “The war of ancients” have opened (in there respective places as noted in the book) and each hero (horde with Brox and alliance with Rhonan) are set off on a journey to retrieve the pieces of power lost to history}
“Hero! You must retrieve the pieces of power from each (expansion) time stream! Gather them here and we will open a portal to the (next expansion) dragon ilse. Gather as many as you can!”
“Open your garrison to have a base of operation so we can begin to gather these legendary artifacts”
[Corrupted Ashbringer], Illidans war glaves, shadowmorne, a legendary artifact weapon (class specific), and the heart of Azeroth! With these we can secure the time stream and have peace in the dragon isles! (Or whatever expansion we are on) [anything else you may think would be a good example for an expansion leave in the comments]
(These missions only requires level 10 and can be completed in any order) (much like the pillars of creation, set aside a room to show these artifacts, the player still retains them on his person to use as well. Alternatively they can retrieve them from said spot and they upgrade to his average/max item level or lowest level of most recent expansion ie if level 70 is cap it would max at item level for 58)
“Now is the Time Hero! We must save the time streams and not let these artifacts fall into the wrong hands! Azeroth depends upon you!”
Ideas, comments? I think this would be a great way to explain what’s happened and catch new players up on the most recent expansion and or content
