New playable class

I am just curious, part of why MOP/Legion were also better than Cata/WoD is because in the former, we got new classes; monk and demon hunter.

So it falls to reason that there’s going to be a new class next expansion.

There are 3 classes that I think are likely…

1-Tinker as someone has said in another thread. This makes the most sense, given where gnomes are going soon, so is highly likely.

2-Necromancer, basically a death knight rdps. Highly likely if Kel’thuzad is going to be around.

3-Barbarian (least likely), but it’s a class I want, because I want to be a warrior that not only beats up his enemies, but picks them up with my bare hands and throws them off cliffs. Stuff the loot.

Or they could always do some kind of sub classes, like they do sub races aka Allied Races.

Thoughts?

I will always be in the corner for Tinkers. I love them and I will eagerly make 10 the day they are released.

That being said, here’s what we need.

  • A new mail armor wearing class.
  • A class that can use guns/bows.
  • A class that can tank/heal.

If Tinker can do all that, then great! If not, then… I dunno… Dark Ranger?

No more classes. They can barely balance what we have now, no need to throw another 3 or 2 specs at them, might fry their brains.

I think barbarian could easily be a warrior spec and Necromancer could easily be a questline or glyph visual overhaul for warlocks, both of these would be awesome and it’d honestly get me back into warlock for one

Tinkers on the other hand, please Blizzard. It’d help out two of the lesser played races in the game and has such great potential.

I’m a man of many conspiracies, so I choose to believe that the removal of black arrow from Marksman is soft confirmation that Dark Rangers are in the pipeline. Also, there’s that whole business with the Horde doing…stuff… on Darkshore…

Dark Ranger Class for Blood Elves, Night Elves, Humans, and Undead.

Barbarian is covered in the class theory by Fury so I don’t think that will happen.

Whatever class we get I hope it wears mail and can tank.

The person a couple posts above me nailed it, but I see it for different reasons. Dark Rangers as either a two or three spec class for Blood Elves, Night Elves, Humans, and Undead most likely. The fact they reintroduced Nathanos with a mostly-intact human body and now in 8.1 have Night Elf Dark Rangers gives Alliance two DR-ready races.

Blood Elves having already been seen as Dark Rangers, and Undead in the form of Nathanos pre-Legion gives two DR-ready races for the Horde.

Or maybe they’ll surprise us with two new classes in 9.0, what with Tinker being a popular rumor. Probably not, but one can hope.

Ill always be partial to a bard class, but yea I think Tinker makes most sense going forward.

Personally I’d take a 4th spec for every class over a new class.

I agree Tinker is most likely people, but the difficulty with it lorewise is that Tinker makes perfect sense for gnomes especially with the High Tinker badly injured…

But the question I must ask is this, what Horde races would be allowed to be tinkers?

I’d say Goblins, Vulpera (If they do turn out to be an allied race for Horde), maybe Undead and Mag’har Orcs (the whole Iron Horde thing being part of who they were) work for Horde tinkers.
