New Plate Class

I don’t ever read quests, so maybe there’s an answer already:

What other plate classes COULD be in game that aren’t yet.

I think the next class will be a cloth wearer, and I’d hope it’s necromancer… but might be some kind of chronomancer.
Leather got monk and demon hunters, mail got evokers, plate got death knights, but cloth hasn’t received a new class via expansion release yet.

Bard, in plate :smiley:
tank, healer, buffer, or dps specs.

Bard made most sense in leather imo but cloth would work too. What about tinker? Need that extra protection for tinkers gone wrong!

Blizz loves stealing stuff from other games, Bard is classic in EverQuest, where they stole most their ideas anyway, that bard wears plate, therefor plate bard imo :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m honestly not sure what Plate archetypes are even left at this point.

  • Warrior is your classic fighting man.
  • Paladin covers the “white knight” archetype.
  • Death knight is your classic dark avenger type.

yeah I was thinking a ranged plate, but why wear plate if you’re ranged. So maybe that’s a no-go

I think bard is a great idea. Augmentation Evoker is a thing now, so more support specs/classes would be neat. Any thoughts on the specs for bard?

Don’t add more classes. Just add some specs to existing classes.

Oh, didn’t know they were plate in that. Huh, I always think of them as wearing leather at most. Eh, I could see them doing either plate or cloth since we’ve had 2 leather wearers added, a plate wearer, and mail wearer. Maybe they’d do cloth just so all armor classes would have had at least one new class added? idk

Tinkerer I think would be a possibility but most people want that one in Mail I think.

Necromancer could wear plate but thats also one people tend to think of as a better fit for Mail or Cloth.

Riftblade, themed on void elf warriors I’ve seen a few places, though thats probably just because I’m heavily into the void elf scene, and that one is basically a void paladin type setup. If done as a separate class it would very much be a plate wearer.

No clue for the names but maybe one support spec, actually ranged not midranged like evoker. A dps spec, I want to say ranged but I wouldn’t mind if it’s melee, and a healing spec. idk the names for them tho haha

rather than a new class maybe just add new specs to existing classes, like for example necromancers could be death knights that cast range spells in plate gear.

To be honest, I hope some day they jack the Blood Mage from Vanguard and put that into this game. Most fun I have ever had with a class in 23 years of MMOs.

See, i dont get how you can dance, sing, and hold/play an instrument whilest wearing plate.

it would either be plate or cloth. but since cloth hasnt had a new class at all it will probably be cloth.

my guess would either be necromancer or a void themed class.
and why i say void theme is because the next expansion is supposedly themed around the void way more so then now.

The new classes always match the theme of the expansion.
wrath - dk
pandaland - monk
legion - dh
DF - evoker

Since tww would have been the best theme for tinkers we can rule that out for the next class.
Bard doesnt fit the theme of any expansion coming up.
Necromancer has potential with the next one because necromancy could be used to fight against the void.

But in terms of theme probably a void themed class.
