Perfectly fine class-Shaman- 2358 words with mostly buffs.

Struggling MW - 132 words, slight mana reduction and a wording change

The only thing buffed for resto shaman was faeline transfusion and Vesper Totem

Also using raw word count to see who is buffed and nerfed is a complete meme

Renewing Mist -
Cost changed from 2.2% of base mana to 2.1% of base mana

Vivify -
Cost changed from 4.1% of base mana / 30 Energy to 3.8% of base mana / 30 Energy

I truly believe that since that guy quit they haven’t gotten anyone to work on Monks. No way they could have if this is what they are doing…

I would be absolutely thrilled with even a slight damage buff. Why am I gold parsing damage doing less damage than a disc priest and hpal, even when I am nonstop hitting the boss strictly for damage parses? Plus more damage would buff ATotM healing and conserve more mana.

This is what I’ve been saying for weeks. I just want a dmg buff at this point.

I think currently MW is something close to 50% of Hpally dmg and about 70-80% of a disc priest’s dmg

Yeah there’s no reason a mw should do less damage than paladin.

There should be a reward for being in melee.

I’m surprised. I thought SS was going to be nerfed much harder and mw was going to be buffed much more. Class balance this expac is looking worse than BFA if this is an indication. Lets hope they’re actually open to feedback.

Enjoy your .1 and .3% buff as well as still being the lowest percentile in almost, if not every category of rated play in WoW

After reading about the upcoming patch I was briefly optimistic that MW would get buffed, and logged on my monk for the first time in a while. I should have known better.

Better luck next time. Maybe 9.1 might bring something useful but better cross all your fingers in order to make that a reality

That’s 4.5% and 7.3% reduction in mana cost for spells we use quiet often. Combine that with 20% increased mana regen in pvp. It will be felt and is a good start.

Wings, lust, prideful and venthyr covenant can pump huge numbers.

Who goes Venthyr? I tried it to be different and for the aesthetic of the Covenant but in the end, Kyrian just offers too much for me to not have it

Class balance in terms of hps the class balance is a lot better than it was in bfa.

In terms of dps the only outlier is paladin which i think everyone things they should nerf paladin dps

Holy paladins who want to do big damage.

They always leave monks till the end.

Remember we hit Beta with only one of our four Covenant abilities datamined.

But like… do I just reroll at this point? If they don’t care, why should we?

What a joke.

Honestly thought there would be WW nerfs and brew/MW buffs.

Well Holy Paladin is melee. My ā€˜rotation’ is basically Crusader Strike, Consecrate. and Judgement - with instant cast heals in between.

But yeah - MW should also get that reward. Though the ideal way to do so would be to make a rotation that NEEDED more than just Rising Sun Kick.

While MW also CAN use Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick, and Spinning Crane kick - do these help with healing throughput or are they just ā€˜options to help the DPS’?

For example;

Holy Paladin needs Crusader to reset the cooldown of Holy Shock, the primary single target heal, that generates Holy Power - the resource needed to do our ā€˜big single target heal’ or our small conal AOE heal.
Holy-P needs Consecrate to self heal - IF they have the Conduit for it.
Holy-P needs Judgment to create a minor heal for anyone that attacks their target - on boss fights this is a kind of slow ā€˜background heal’ so many Holy-P’s ignore it, but it does add up (it gets me from 7-10% of my healing on longer fights).

To get attention to wanting MW DPS skills to do more DPS, might first require more of them be a part of the healing rotation. Didn’t Tiger Palm restore mana a few expacs ago? If it did that again, a DPS boost to it would then be easy to ā€œjustifyā€. And then you could have blackout kick do something like reset a healing cooldown.

Some of that seems to be addressed with the ā€œAncient Teachings of the Monasteryā€ legendary. And in a manner that also makes a strong case for asking for a DPS buff.

Unlike Disc-Priest, Holy Paladin doesn’t ā€œNeedā€ the DPS it does, it just needs the DPS abilities in it’s rotation. ā€œAncient Teachings of the Monasteryā€ though actually does need the DPS it is based around.

Im in that same boat. I keep hoping to see better buffs but Im not sure its on the horizon any time soon.

So now Im debating do I just call it quits at 218 ilvl and start focusing on another class before I continue to waste time and effort focusing on a healer thats just gonna be in the dumpster for the foreseeable future or do I cave and fall into the Meta
