All data-mined information is incomplete, and subject to change, but that is why I’m here to voice some concerns for the male Kaldorei. Would love to hear your thoughts, no hate, just polite constructive critique please.
Tauren were so inspired that I was excited to see what was planned for Male Night Elves, but I feel a little underwhelmed. The females however, look beautiful, and I think players will be very happy with them.
BUSHY unibrows? Forebrows? Haha, they look like muppets, what a joke. I don’t mind having them as options, but they were the only new ones added. Can we get some droopy brows like the druid class hall mount, and some sleeker options please? Most of the new ears also look really weird, especially the stumpy ones. Why not add frayed, or bitten ears instead?
In a future build I’m hoping to see the ears fixed, scars, piercings, maybe even plug/tunnel,fang options too. Can we please get some long dreadlock styles like we got for humans? A dreadbun, or ponytail perhaps? Leaves in their hair is iconic, but looks a bit too messy, and could be placed a more purposeful like in concept art. I like a lot of the new options, but some could be better, and I can’t wait to see what Blizzard is working on next. Thank you for reading.
Right, It’s a billion-dollar game, but I’m thankful we’re finally getting something. I just would rather have quality over quantity. I am just a bit underwhelmed after seeing the Tauren so well realized.
I fully support better options. I was disappointed too. Tattoo options, better beards, scars all have been requested for so long. I am glad at least that they are giving the different eye colors and leaves in the hair, but they need to do like they do for NPCs. Because they always look so much better.
I agree tenfold. I understand they’re night elves and they’ve lived within their forests for 10,000 years but…what about the highborne that have rejoined kaldorei society, surely they do not look like cave(wo)men. I think the females were done very well, the males however seem very lackluster, especially when you decide to slap already existing brows on a clean face and call it ‘new’. The ears are very very very horrifying I find personally. I think more natural beauty and less homeless bum. I would suggest more markings, piercings for males as well, hair/eye colors that represent the entire night elf spectrum from druidism to elves that kept their highborne heritage. Blonde, maybe even red hair. Green eyes, a few more blind options, scars that detail animal attacks, maybe even some that elude to the war of the ancients somehow?
Not all night elves and they’re still elves. All elves hold a sheer beauty supposed to be alluring. Those are, are something else… Not saying to remove them but add more customs that symbolize more than just hippie elves, because they’re not just hippie elves xD.
Bro, I like, totally agree with you… But they aren’t all big dirty bush-hippies, the highborne are more regal, and elegant. I’m not hating on the brows, but those ears are yuck tho.
I really don’t get why, on the Horde, the males and females both get lots of tattoos (often separated for body and face) and the males and females also get the necklace and piercing options, more often than not. But, on Alliance, the males get basically nothing.
I’m pretty disappointed by the male night elf customizations. I would love a good short hair for male night elves, too, personally. I get that most night elves have the longer hair look, but I’d like just some short, spiky hair instead of all my nelf alts having to have great, flowing locks or just a small mohawk.
All of the Horde races, including and especially tauren (and orcs), are getting much better, much more extensive (for both sexes), and much more artistically designed options. They really need to make all the Alliance races (worgen included, I might add) up to snuff.
