I’d like to take a moment to recognize a blizzard product that missed the mark completely; the World of Warcraft Murloc Thrall 6.5" Plush.
The design and quality of this plush should be a red flag to blizzard management that something needs to be done about Brand quality assurance. This “thing” doesn’t even come close to matching the in game model. The mouth doesn’t exist. the teeth are growing out of the beard. The tusks are beyond exaggerated in size. The eyes are placed so wide that you wouldn’t be corrected if you thought this was modeled after a fish and not a murloc. And worst of all, it doesn’t even sit upright on its own.
I don’t mind the increased amount of shop items (digital or physical) Blizzard is putting out since their Microsoft deal finalized. They’re all optional things. But as a loyal fan of the game & company, please don’t dilute the quality of the brand with this trash.
The added “Thrall” details look cheap and not well designed. Why is the horde symbol on a blue patch!!! The person who designed this doesn’t even know it should be red… ugh.
To be fair, his armor isn’t red in this expansion, which I assume is what they are basing it on. Even this promo for the 20th Anniversary is more of a black and gold.
