Well i’m hoping your well aware what the microtransactions do and why we watch the industry and concern ourselves on other people spending money, hence why Sports games are gambling/microtransaction trash now. I recommend reading up articles about Microtransactions, maybe a few from Escapist and etc, and get an idea of why the vanity items, aka “Just cosmetic” items are important to me and a lot of gamers who do care about it.
Again, i’l say this before and i’l say these things again: WoW isn’t F2P (actually F2P, not “Work to get pretend money to pay to keep playing” F2P or F2P but limited access), it’s a premium priced game with sub fees and this cosmetic would be much better served being ingame only like the other regular mounts.
And i’m going to bet even if that hypothetical example you set up actually happens, your going to move the goalpost.
Why would I move the goalposts? Why would I pay a monthly fee for a game that is pay to win? I haven’t done that to date and won’t in the future.
But I could give a rip if Blizzard wants to sell cool mounts or pets paid for by a fee for a cosmetic upgrade people might want.
I would even at this point pay for an expansion that funded a complete graphical revamp and upgrade of all existing content as well as a clean up the entire virtual world in WoW. It kind of takes me out of the immersion of the game with Draenor past existing and every other story seemingly still ongoing. I’d rather see them turn the world into a large, renewed world where all the past expansion stories have had their conclusion and the world is set in a single time where the past events have changed the world in some appropriate way that doesn’t require time hopping to the past and such.
id be more likely to be upset if you couldnt get it for having a 6 month sub, actually no i wouldnt because having a store mount give practically 0 advantage in todays WoW
Well maybe it’s a bit of accusing on my part and i do apologize. It often does happen whenever you deal with some people on the internet who set’s a goal for you to accomplish, and start’s moving the goal post, metaphorically speaking that is.
Pay to win… what?
PArdon my confusion, but i seen this used before, and it always prompt me… “What is there to win at WoW exactly?”
I personally think “Gameplay Effecting” would’ve been a better word for it, but that’s just me.
Can we please stop making threads every time Blizz puts something on the store? Can we just make a stickied thread called “New stuff on the store” and every time something new is added to the store all comments about it can go in that one thread and new ones can get insta locked.
Or you can just ignore it if you don’t like seeing these.
So something along the lines of that Hearthstone incident and the Brutosaur mount, where Blizzard and the moderators gather all of the posts and put them all into one big dump thread?..
While you did say “sticked”, i’m still skeptical to your request of yours, and think you should… just ignore the posts you don’t want to see.
Devil’s advocate, Doesn’t necessarily mean OP doesn’t contain any original ideas, just that they didn’t present it in the OP post. The point of a thread is discussion, that of which you are discouraging.
How dare Blizzard try and give incentives for subscribing a six month block of game time. How evil of them to give people a FREE mount just for paying for game time they most likely would have gotten anyway.
There’s tons of new mounts to get ingame from patch 8.3, tons more in older content.
This happens every time Blizzard adds a new mount to the store. They’re a business, it’s their responsibility to make as much of a profit as possible. You aren’t forced to purchase the mount, it’s completely optional.
