New mount... So what? Don't be hurt

You don’t need to have a high school graduation diploma to know, that they have various teams in Blizzard. So one focus on fixing your stuff and second on another stuff.

If you think it takes the whole team of programmers to do one ugly mount, then you are a fool.

Nice evening. <33

But if they aren’t fixing stuff, and continue to try to milk the player base of money with bright shiny things, Id say thats pretty close to a con job.

Ah yes, thread #1784221 on this subject, I agree that it’s pointless to get angry over something like this, however I understand some of the frustration since a store mount just came out.

However, timing is important, and pig being put out now can be attributed to that new year.

They have those stuff prepared in advance, because it is as “celebration” for specific event, and some people will buy it.

Even 6 month sub boat was datamined way before it was released, but people still trying to connect their truths.

They don’t stop coming out though.

We’ve had so many mounts thrown at us in different ways… it’s ridiculous.

The boat
The meat wagon
The fox
The see ya later bundle mounts all disney style
Now the piggy.

He sure is cute, but I really wish they would start developing things that directly impact the game (cough like AR’s cough) instead of cosmetic mounts to just milk the remaining player base.

I wouldn’t mind Blizz making money off the store so much if I felt they were actually giving us a quality product with our purchase of BfA and our subscription fee.

You dangle that in my face and I have to agree there. I’d love if they’d work on more AR stuff. If the release offsets the amount offered in game, I’ll likely start considering making my leave. Or if they add ARs to the shop. I’m 100% done if that happens.

At this point I’m wishing they would have put in a developmental pet in the store months ago.

$25 for a baby Zandalari or Kul Tiran pet that hums a whimsical tune & all the proceeds go towards…

AR Development!

Each new store mount costs us a new armor set.

reality check…they won’t fix what we deem broken as its what they want. It has nothing to do with the mounts.

Crafting was worked over badly on purpose.

Story all over the place…they wanted this.

Azerite armour issues…dude/dudette (whatever applies in rl lol) these will be here till 9.0 pre release code. Only then will azerite gear die the death it so desperately needs.

See all this predated the fox and now the pig. Also this stuff is graphics section. Not the devs. Devs input here is telling graphics to dial back model/texture features if they kill the server performance wise.

I would honestly be totally fine with them never adding another mount to the game.

I completely get the appeal of this particular mount tho.

Yes timing is everything and instead of delivering immersive and fun game content that rewarded it, Blizzard went the lazy way to sell it as a vanity item to players that are easily separated from their money.

reality check for Blizz if they don’t listen and fix the problems then they don’t get money. Paying people for broken thing seems backwards. I understand your point but validating the bright and shiny things isnt going to help them listen and repair.

I am pretty sure that mount was planned a lot in advance, and what are mounts about anyway… just different textures, that is all.

The point is that artists arent going to change the game mechanics lol.
And devs who are working on it, they are not sitting there chilling and be like “oh I just got idea, lets implement it”… They get tasks like any other employees.

Thats not the point if Blizzard keeps receiving money from other streams outside of subs/game time this type of sale will increase not decrease. Those who are buying are only reinforcing that type of sales behavior.

Never forget.

Well, everyone says how much subs gone… if it is true, I can assure you that Blizz already noticed a huge profit loss. And guess what, companies love profits, not losses.

Personally I do not think that onetimebuy mount for 25$ is going to substitute lost subscribers.

Lets see, if there’s 4 million players in wow currently and 10% of them buy the mount at $25, Blizzard just made 10 million dollars. That’s like 650,000 players for a month. That’s a lot of subscribers to me!

Oh, oh you mean the content they just released with 8.1 and the start of Season 2? You mean -that- content? Because I don’t know if you were paying attention, but they released a whole content patch full of stuff to do.

There’s not really much new there. There’s more for just leveling alts by redoing already released content. It you play through it all once it’s like a week’s worth of new stuff that benefits one main character.

The thing is there is just so many mounts, they have become effectively redundant. You get a new one, use it for 4 mins, realise it’s behind looks stupid or it runs stupid and you go back to what you loved originally.

Anyone getting upset about mounts nowdays really needs to revaluate their life.
