People here in the States may still be celebrating the holiday and may not have gotten to it yet. Or if it’s automated, the automated posting may have borked. Dunno.
Probably cause they know the feedback is going to be negative.
They get overwhelming feedback the past year not only from players but from wowhead as well that low drop rate rewards are not fun, and they did it AGAIN.
In an event that literally has not had low drop rate issues the entire existence as everything has always been on the vendor.

Screw the carpet gimme that Hearthstone. I get more excited for Hearthstones than mounts these days. There are fewer of them and I don’t have hundreds already.
Just like you did the Plunderstorm event for rewards, you’ll do it for this event too.
It’s the equivalent of a kid getting mad at their parents for eating greens but they’re still chewing and swallowing said green vegetables saying they hate it
Unlike plunderstorm, the rare drop is not a reward I CARE about, so no, I won’t. I’ll do it maybe once a day.
I want the carpet so I’ll farm it thousand times. It’s [probably] the only carpet mount non Tailors can use.
It is when you die first five minutes people “claim” bullies were chasing them. And claim they can’t get enough plunder to finish their renowns
No rewards in Plunderstorm are low droprate RNG.

Huh? It’s PvP. Of course players were “chasing” them. How is that being a bully?
Note: I’ve queued three times and died in minutes because I don’t PvP. Doesn’t mean the folks who killed me were “bullies.”
Tell the regulars that 
When you chase them as soon as they land preventing them from getting any plunder, it is.
