So like the classic community had their years of enjoyment now, they are bored, burned out, and are pretty much ready to up and leave classic for TBC. Can we just get like updated models for everything now. It would make classic look so much more beautiful

i’m sorry that you prefer to look like that over the good new models retail has going on. But Blizzard doesn’t care about keeping it original or they wouldn’t be putting in premium items in game. After the backlash from the cash shop settles down and people accept it they will put it in classic. Then you cant say keep it original.
Who knows. At some point they may decide to add qol things to classic to try and spark a new interest in an old game. If they do and the experiment works, they may do more. I wouldn’t expect it to happen anytime soon however.
The new models look like garbage, it’s the reason I can’t play retail anymore

why do you think they look like garbage O.O? in my opinion the older models that are in classic look awful to me. I’m just curious to what makes you think the new models are so bad that you cant touch retail with them?

i’m 27, my favorite game of all time that i consider legendary masterpiece that will never brighten the video game world again is a playstation 1 video game. My first warcraft game is Warcraft 2 which i loved and i even loved those graphics but it doesn’t mean i wont love a warcraft 3 reforged graphics even better. You’re just full of hate aren’t you panda?

In my opinion: the old models aren’t great but they at least have a kind of pixelated, grimy charm. The new models… they just feel wrong. They float somewhere between goofy and uncanny, as though they belong in a Chinese bootleg of a Pixar movie. I honestly struggle to comprehend how people prefer the design change

In all seriousness though, orcs should look bizarre. Just as undead should look unnatural, and trolls should look… like however one might describe a troll. That’s part of their design philosophy. But in retail their models are all glossy, polished and smooth. Undead almost look like they belong in a L’Oréal commercial.
Then again, I also prefer stop-motion minsters to CGI, so maybe I’m just a relic of the past.

Posture checked orcs are the worst thing added to retail. The worst!
However, they should add the Warcraft 3 jowls and loose lip animations to all character models. The best!
Almost none of the new models are true to the old models.
New faces look completely different.
Animations are too exaggerated and bouncy.
Attack and spell animations are all underwhelming (they are trying way too hard).
Pretty much all of the new models for beasts are also just objectively worse, they look like clay and the faces are out of a crappy pixar knockoff

I have to completely disagree tbh, i feel like everything is a massive improvement. It bothers me greatly to see such ugly and pixulated models on classic.

The new models are disgusting. They’re not just upscaled older models, they completely redesigned the looks of them. My Gnome looks nothing like it did when I made it. Now they all look deranged with glassy eyes. 0/10 to the WoD model artists.
