New MMO with Ghostcrawler

You do know that the Pandemic lockdowns occurred in 2020 right?
You do know the investigation by the EEOC started in early 2019 and that the survey was sent out near the end of their investigation.

You still have no clue how a EEOC investigation works, You don’t not even acknowledge that their timeframes and time limits that the EEOC has in place on these investigations. You just googled… saw a link… posted the link… and didn’t even bother to read the article.

THEN you did it again. You posted a link about the EXACT same individual and tried to pass it off as evidence of wrongdoing but it wasn’t. Not one thing in either of the articles stated that Blizzard had violated any labor or civil rights laws.

But guess who HAS violated the law. Riot Games.

Begone troll.

And you claimed the investigation take 3 to 10 months, yet EEOC indicates on AVERAGE it takes 10 months and can be a lot longer depending on the complexity of the investigation. So yes the pandemic could be interfering with an investigation started in 2019.

But of course, I am the troll because you want to ignore inconvenient facts.

Let me know when you actually have facts.
So far all you have is a article that stated a investigation had occurred. The EEOC has not filed charges against Blizzard in over a year after finalizing the investigation that started in Jan 2019. But you keep pretending that facts don’t matter to you. Keep championing Riot Games as they are on path to paying a 400 million dollar settlement as per The State of California.

https://www.eeoc.gov/what-you-can-expect-after-you-file-charge#:~:text=How%20long%20the%20investigation%20takes,in%20less%20than%203%20months).

How long the investigation takes depends on many factors, including the amount of information that needs to be gathered and analyzed. On average, we take approximately 10 months to investigate a charge. We are often able to settle a charge faster through mediation (usually in less than 3 months). You can check the status of your charge by using EEOC’s Online Charge Status System.

I am doing nothing of the sort.

Can you prove there were no harassment claims made at blizzard that were settled and never made the news - no you can’t. So you can’t go around saying blizzard doesn’t have this.

Also, I haven’t been paying attention to all your claims because just not interested but this article literally says employees were sent out surveys in August 2020 not 2019 which you stated earlier.

I know I read an article recently that said they were asked to consider more groups when hiring and they refused saying it wasn’t possible.

The LoL world doesn’t interest me in the least.

Which is kind of funny considering I would’ve said (close to) the same thing about the Warcraft RTS games. RTS games are like dripping stress, so I couldn’t stomach them even when I wanted to like them. Same with MOBAs, some of them (like Smite) have interesting characters (I’m a mythology nerd) but the gameplay will never really suit me.

If they made a game meant to be played the way I like to play it could be an entirely different conversation though. It certainly was for this game, I never would’ve predicted even by WC3 that I’d end up playing a Warcraft game for more or less 15 years, yet here we are. In the end it’s all about ease of use vs immersion. If it’s too easy you start to lose immersion (GW2), but if it’s too punishing people will opt out despite liking the game otherwise (what I did to EQ), so it’s always a balancing act.

In recent years they’ve done an amazing job of fleshing out Runeterra as a whole, making each region unique and giving characters more depth than “haha, I am a vampire” or “Demacia = good guys, Noxus = bad guys”.

They’ve done a good job of expanding it with their card game too, with there being a bunch of cards dedicated to showing Vladimir’s cult following, the difference between Sejuani’s Winter’s Claw and Ashe’s Averosans, the respective gangs of Miss Fortune, Gangplank and even Tahm Kench, the difference in Noxus between Darius’s Trifarax Legion and the Reckoners that Draven fights with (and against).

Between their card game, the short stories on their website (which I’d definitely recommend, especially the Sisterhood of War and Tales of a Broken Blade series) and the VO/interactions within the game (seriously, Pantheon = hnnng) they’ve done well in setting the stage for an MMO.

MMO’s in general have been in a sharp decline for several years, just looking back to last year and this year what new exciting MMO titles were released or about to be released?

None, if or when people ask for a mmo recommendation it’s always World of Warcraft. None of others come close in terms of add-ons or content / leveling experience. I realize this might be either the worst place or most cliché place to say this but it’s a sad truth that nothing comes close to WoW.

Doubtful that Riot will pull off a good mmo they can’t even manage one moba map properly. Best thing they’ve done lately is TFT which was a pleasant surprise. Thusly we all would reward a homerun hit of a game by any gaming company, but none lately have delivered for the past couple of years.

For example a certain indie viking survival game is currently killing it despite having runescape quality graphics. A game no one really saw coming or expected is already more polished and stable than games like Ark and Rust which have been in a glorified alpha for several years.

It surprises me that a lot of people here have a disdain for anything thats not wow.
Its like the game is their religion and just a mention of any other thing is heresy

When you spend a long time with someone/something, it kind of becomes a part of your life. Considering there are people here who have spent 15+ years with WoW, it’s no small wonder they are so attached to it.

It could be good. I don’t care for mobas but LoL has a lot of really cool character designs. If that translates into cool races and what-not I’m in–so long as the gameplay is also good.

The sheer volume of races that exist in the Runeterra universe (multiverse?)
is one thing I’d be concerned about. Are the races going to be unique from each other with racial abilities? If so… that’s going to be a balancing issue right out the starting gate. If not… then characters will just feel like their chosen class and that’s it…

Another thing to keep an eye on is how big is the world going to be? When WoW and EQ first started… they felt huge (until you hit level cap and then it was a few zones that weren’t finished). When W:AR and Guild Wars 2 came out… the world didn’t feel huge…

I really hope it won’t be a “pick your champion” type of character selection.
I’m not sure how I feel about “active combat” systems like BDO has… after awhile it just felt annoying.

Hopefully the crafting system will be a focus and not a forgotten about passtime that you do when you are super bored.

And last… I really don’t want to play another MMO where PvP was a major focus… I prefer it to be a optional content and not a “well PvP is endgame… have fun folks” because that get’s boring really quick.

The only good game Activision made was Plaque Attack for the Atari 2600…

I’ll translate this for those who don’t know this guy.

“I know that if Riot gives me everything I want when I demand it, I’ll never take another look at WoW…”

Oh, look, I made a fan.

I would love to but supporting riot is supporting the CCP.

I’ve never actually played LoL and I know nothing of it, so I would look into it purely based on curiosity.

Whoa… really… Ick

Depends how the game looks, what the gameplay looks like. I won’t move just because, but in saying that, if something similar yet better came out I’d switch.

Just want to remind anyone skipping over this post to not skip it. This exact post is very very worth reading.

not looking forward to whatever the equivalent of frost mages are there to reign supreme since GC will be involved, so no
