Just created a new Marks Hunter (Lvl 10). So we have NO pet option till what level? Soloing anything just feels ridiculous. If you can’t kill it before it gets to you then your s.o.l? Also you cannot tame any pets at all for use should I opt to respec to BM in the future? Whomever is the Hunter class designer/guru really needs to rethink this out in my personal opinion!
Then you shoot and run, its low levels, its not the end of the world getting smacked.
Bruh, you aren’t even 3/4 down in health before the thing you attacked is dead.
I say this as someone who leveled a new marks hunter.
Especially level 11 on you are practically 1 tapping everything.
If you are at all getting low health on new marks at any level pre 70, that’s frankly a legit skill issue.
Maybe playing a sniper spec ain’t for you if you are crying about a pet. (which you can still get before even level 20)
you get a pet at level 17 as marks. i think you will be okay for the very low amount of time it will take you to get from 10 to 17
This isn’t Classic WoW, you’ll be okay for the half hour it takes you to get to the talent node
Having pet while leveling produces bad max level hunters.
Man up and take the opportunity to learn your class. Positioning, CC, kiting.
You don’t need a pet for anything
The only people who should be complaining about how easy it is are the ones that have been doing this for years, and I say, myself included, they should be quiet as to not spoil it for you.
It’s not so much complaining it’s easy, no one has said that. It’s letting him know the reality of what’s going to happen. You aren’t SOL when a mob gets to you at level 10
Level 10 was once a thing when Moses wore short pants, but I thought everyone knew this.
This isn’t Classic, you don’t have a minimum range. Aimed Shot is just as effective point blank as it is 40+ yards.
Hunter is actually very sturdy compared to a lot of other ranged classes. Mail is pretty protective against physical threats and we have a number of defensives to keep us up for a while. If you must keep something away you talent into Tar Trap and Concussive Shot very early, and you can get things like Bursting Shot and Binding Shot later.
You aren’t a barrierless Mage, you can take a licking.
Can you translate Mad Hatter for me?
I’m not.
Sometimes you just let things continue to be a mystery for the betterment of all.
I meant those pre-Cata days when leveling was actually hard, when getting to level 10 and after wasn’t quite exactly a cakewalk.
And this brings up another point, unless you stupidly pull 3 - 4 monsters at once, at that early level (which unless you are doing the murlock Elwynn quest where you fight all of them on that tiny little island in the middle of the lake) that is incredibly hard to do. You can put down tens of monsters by pretty much 1 tapping them without taking even a bit of damage by just playing range properly. Does it take a bit more time since you are sitting there for the cast time? Sure, but it isn’t any longer than some casters.
Well, I’d say 1-10 is still a bit tedious for some classes. Not that it takes long, but can be annoying. If for no other reason than Blizz has all but stopped caring about anything below level 10. You get 99% utility and maybe 1 attack spell lol.
Because while Hogger is such a big deal and an accomplishment to slay him, particularly solo, it’s not really the end of the world…of Warcraft.
The real reason is that we have an official hardcore version. You can’t complain how hard it is at level 10 when if you try to take on Hogger and fail, that’s it. You have to start all over.
