Mail icon showing waiting mail not appearing at character selection screen

Do you actually have unread mail? I’m currently experiencing a bug where in-game there’s a mail notification, but I don’t actually have any new mail. The character select screen is only showing the mail icon if I actually do have unread mail.

Same problem for me.

This is my problem too! In-game indicator always shows and says “You have unread mail” but I don’t. I don’t even have any auctions waiting to be delivered.

Mine also says “You have unread mail.” Just like you, mine persists when I don’t have any auctions waiting to be delivered, but the issue first started when an auction listing was sold.

Same issue. It appears the variable for if new mail exists is flipped on all my characters. If I have actual mail I can open it and temporarily the unread mail icon will go away but as soon as I close my mailbox window the unread mail reappears. This icon does not show up from character select and is unfortunately also stopping me from doing a faction change on one of my characters.
Same. I’ve sent mail between characters and when I go to the character selection screen the mail icon is not there. I KNOW I have mail because I sent it, but I’ll never know about any other mail without logging in and noticing the super tiny mail icon in game. I also don’t seem to be getting the icon for ended auctions so I think it’s just broken all around.

Same issue happening to me. Mail notifications are not showing at all on the Warband screen. This includes successful auctions (no cancelled items, only gold payments) or mail I send between my various alts.
I used to get these notifications before 11.1.
Happening to me too on all my toons. It was working just before the recent patch.

no mail icon here either, i tried deactivating all addons but makes no difference.

No icon for me either. It is missing from the minimap and the character select screen.
I put a bunch of stuff on the AH last night before quitting, and today I assumed no one had bought it. I went to the AH and saw nothing there so I checked the mail and sure enough, my payments were there and unread.
