New mage talents- polymorph no longer heals!

    • New PvP Talent: Ethereal Blink – Blink and Shimmer apply Slow at 100% effectiveness to all enemies you Blink through. For each enemy you Blink through, the cooldown of Blink or Shimmer are reduced by 1 second, up to 5 seconds.
  • New PvP Talent: Master Shepherd – While an enemy player is affected by your Polymorph or Mass Polymorph, your movement speed is increased by 25% and your Versatility is increased by 6%. Additionally, Polymorph and Mass Polymorph no longer heal enemies.

Overall good changes but master shepherd should be baseline with CC reduction or on the main class tree. Hey I’ll take it though

Just get rid of sheep. Were not “sheperds”. Give us real damage like other classes and they can have sheep.

This one doesn’t sound that useful to me, but I might be wrong. I doubt there’ll be many chances where you can [Blink]/[Shimmer] through more than one person and we already heave plenty of slows, so it doesn’t seem that good when so many classes can dispel it. It also doesn’t say the duration of the slow.

This actually seems pretty good but I bet most people wish that, at least the part where [Polymorph] doesn’t heal, was baseline. I was against it before, but reducing its duration to 6s kinda makes up for it, I guess.

I mean, it’s good that they’re at least looking at Mages in 10.1, but there has been only PvP changes so far when the class also needs a lot of help outside of it.

I can agree that Poly / Mass Poly heal removal could be in base tree, if needed as a separate talent or even baseline.

But finally Polymorph would be usable in 1v1 as a normal CC.

Ethereal Blink is 1 GCD and 1 talent point economy ( I suppose it applies Slow even if you don’t learn it) against single melee, so not impressive against them, but can be interesting against pet specs.

Yea im finna poop on everyone in 1v1 with the poly change. Insane gameplay change.

Don’t fret about the pvp talents, if you were playing arcane this season, you’ll have 2 slots available in 10.1 being mass invis will be worthless, and precog is going to gear.

An off-GCD multi-target snare coupled with cooldown reduction on Shimmer is huge value for Arcane and Fire and still very powerful for Frost.

Mass Invis will not be worthless, last I checked you’re still able to cast 1 spell to completion inside of it and it’s still just as good for stopping cc on your healer, it’s also twice as long.

I’m still a bit skeptical that will be good enough for a PvP talent slot, especially as another slow that almost everyone and their mother can remove nowadays but we’ll see. It’d be cool if they doubled the CDR for [Shimmer] (also [Flow of Time] lol) since that won’t be nearly as impactful as for [Blink].

For 1v1 dueling it’s insane.
For organized PVP where you’re not killing anyone anyways until the stars align? Doesn’t really make much of a difference.

It’s a buff to Druids if you really think about it.
