Now that the loot system is being changed back to rolling need and greed, I can’t see wanting to Tank/Heal any extra and set my loot to DPS. This seems like it will decrease the amothe of extra tanks and healers in the queue.
How will it decrease tanks and healers?
Theres barely any difference between tank/heal/dps gear anymore

What? For multispec players, more loot will drop. They can’t roll need on the offspec but they can still win it. Whereas they couldn’t have a chance of it dropping for them before.

custom ad write says lfg/m ms>os. Jsut write and read better ads is all.
See that know if wanting os it may not happen. So look for non ms>os crews or make your own.
Raid level jsut bring back ye olde hr. PLayers who take HR runs than complain about loot you tell em we said it was HR. that’s on them at that point.
or tanks/healz can be inspired from classic. Want my services…this is my payment. Very common in tbcc, soon in wrath I’d wager as more 80’s need the good loots.

Guessing you mean LFR here. And I think you’re right. I would only heal LFR to need gear for Tmog and people would whine and vote kick me because “you don’t need it” “it isn’t an ilvl upgrade for you” (I do higher content then LFR) so therefore I just wont be in LFR at all.
I mean is this the confirmed only loot system for raids, to me the forced change was beta only to stress test it. As I doubt blizzard is stupid enough to permanently implement it as the only loot system.
No, a blue post confirmed it will be the only loot option going into raids in Dragonflight is Group Loot. Personal loot will be removed except for in dungeons and the odd raid item relating to professions or something personal. But actual raid loot is forced Group Loot going forward
LOL my god is it dumb decision after dumb decision, “we heard the feed back about master loot, so instead we’re gonna nuke all raid loot cause we can to be spiteful. Instead of simply improving personal loot, or adding group loot as another option, or just do both of these things.” I swear they just make a mountain out of a mole hill each and every time they try to “fix” something. It never fails to amaze me how they think their gospel ideals given by god are actually good ideas honestly.

It was ads like this during wod that directly resulted in personal loot in Legion raids. The Blizzard position back then was that “MS>OS” has no definition, therefore a pug raid leader was under no obligation to carry through with what group members thought it should mean.
Set your loot spec to the spec you want to get loot for.
So back in Legion we had both options, they said it was a “nightmare” because people would switch it depending on the boss to get the “best odds” for stuff. They did a few minor changes to Group Loot like you can’t roll on loot you can’t use for your spec, MS will get priority over OS need rolls etc but it will still cause so much drama.
ALL they had to do was remove trade restrictions from PL, but nah, they gotta ruin everything.
Isn’t the need/greed change for Raids only? I don’t like that PL won’t even be an option, but unless I’m mistaken there shouldn’t be any impact on Dungeon Finder or M+
Yeah I remember this system back when I would do old leveling dungeons and the like in legion. It simply did not work well, and I mean it still won’t work well in the context of DF IMO, given pugs will be a whole entire mess with loot honestly.
I remember Dragon Soul LFR with the need/greed thing. And they said Group Loot will be in LFR. It’s gonna be a blood bath. I might go with some popcorn.
Unless something like SL’s memories are there and needed I amy not touch lfr. I really only memoried these tbh. or at least one run to say saw it all. Didn’t do season 3 much…classic bug caught on more in seaon 3.
