Can we have a gliph to change that?
I dont understant how blizz always changes stuff ppl didnt asked for, ignoring things the community is asking for YEARS.
And when they do they completelly change it, ppl usually dont like changes…

The new Lightning Bolt is… different. Visually, I don’t hate it but I like the old one better and the added travel time sucks. That extra few milliseconds matters in PvP or tagging a mob just before it dies.

Yes, those are options too, but it’s nice to have an option with no cd or if you want to dump Maelstrom Weapon stacks. I know, I know….
“Chain Lightning?”
It’s nice to have a single target option with the same criteria as above. Not game breaking. Just was better before.

Looks more like a lightning bullet fired from a gun then a lightning bolt. Lightning doesn’t have that level of travel time and doesn’t look like a perfect line.
They hold onto the old pillars still needing “class silhouette” which is why lightning bolt looked like a spiral phone cord and they changed to this lightning rail shot bullet it is now.
Updating spell visuals was one of the top things people were asking for.
I actually really like the new Lightning bolt. I love the charge up effect it has when casting, and I love the look of the bolt itself. The sound effect could probably be better, like its lacking the big thunderous boom it should have when the cast goes off.
I’d love a glyph to change the colors of lightning bolt to red or white/gray, that would be really nice.
I do understand people not liking the fact it doesn’t look like a strike of lightning, and maybe they could make a glyph to change that or something, but I think the new one looks good. I do agree with ideally removing the travel time for lightning bolt though, that would enable them to create a “glyph of lightning strike” that turns it into an updated version of what it was before.
I’m loving the new lightning bolt too, the whole spell visually is awesome with the water pooling at my feet while building up to the lightning, and the watery visuals adding to the lightning effect, perfect. 
Thats not an visual update in that spell, its a complete change.
They changed it to a completelly different looks, not only that but now it have a delay.

My point is people asked for it to be changed on some level. Pretending a change to the visual of lightning bolt was something no one asking for is silly
I get you may not like it personally. And that’s ok. In the sense we all like different things.
I sort of like it honestly. It’s like if lightning as a glob of electrified gel. Or like an amorphous ball … like … the real like phenomenon of ball lighting.
Cataclysm lightning bolt is my favorite
I like it, it also reminded me of ball lightning
The wind up animation is perfect, but I do wish the lightning connected instantly
