People are generally all for fairness (Equality) but not for equity.

Not really, it is skill set that is independent of sex or may other irrelevant physical characteristics.

Sure, we can work with that. If you’re trying to put together a team of painters or photographers, would you want them all to be people who come from the same background and think the same way?
Yeah but my point is lying about being non-binary is different than lying about being disabled.
If you are disabled, you can easily get found out via your medical records. It is legally recorded and documented. Same thing with age and your birth certificate.
Being non-binary? There seems to be no way to officially verify whether or not someone is actually non-binary, so unless I specifically tell my co-worker via email or some method that leaves a record “psst btw I was lying about being a woman” they would have no way of possibly knowing.
That’s my point. This whole diversity inclusive policy just seems like it opens a massive loophole for scumbag dudes to exploit…and there are a lot more scumbag dudes out there than actual non-binary people.
It seems to me like the only reason it’s going in circles is you can’t define what actually makes someone non-binary, other than taking their word for it, which is a massive problem when using it as a criteria for diversity hires.

Kotick’s salary isn’t the “biggest bit of news” in the letter. It’s a feel-good move that doesn’t actually deal with any of the issues. Absolutely worthless move and not something we should be lauding him for.
They’ve also only “waived” forced arbitration for certain cases. It’s not “gone completely”. Cases currently in forced arbitration will continue to be so.

Of course but setting a goal of X number of employees based on sex or whatever non-binary falls under seems like different perspectives to maximize creativity isn’t the goal. Plus as other have pointed out is illegal.
My whole point is who cares what they are if they can do the job and do it well?

Result? the old timers stole every company idea and secret and sold them to the highest bidder. Every major product from apple and microsoft in the 1980’s and 1990’s came from this, from windows itself to the all-in-one imac.

This is going to annoy a lot of people when I say it but I don’t care. I would rather they hire people on their merits than because they are “diverse”
As for his pay stuff yea he will obviously make millions from other investments etc but still. No one was expecting him to do that so fair play to him.
