Just the fact that you think it’s

…that they would

…in some perceived convulted fashion to attain equity makes me ask:

What the hell is wrong with you?

A simple fool of simple fools, this guy lol. The world isn’t black and white 100% of the time. Zeraj is just waiting on that announcement for a 2024 run, I can feel it.

Has less to do with any kind of moral judgment and simply pointing out that it leads to permanent underrepresentation of women in your workforce if they are grouped together with several other categories of gender identities.

This is cartoonishly stupid.

Bobby Kotick harassed me in the staircase, don’t investigate, just get rid of him.

It doesn’t sound like there won’t be an investigation. I think the implication is that any breach of the policy will lead to termination rather than having punishments being ad hoc.

Uhhh…

Zero-tolerance doesn’t mean there won’t be an investigation. It means that after an investigation is done, and if the individual has been found to be guilty of harassment or retaliation, then they’ll be fired.

You gotta stop knee-jerking and start critically thinking about these things, especially before you post.

I actually thought the same thing myself. Seems like a valid point to me.

250 million for a company like Activision Blizzard is way too low, they should up the budget by like 300%.

So you all going to be anywhere near consistent with all this and start praising folk who are caught red handed dead to rights and take plea deals in order to avoid more punitive actions?

I think instead of 50% male + 50% female and non-binary, it should be
30% male, 30% female and 40% non-binary.

So increase women and non-binary employees but doesn’t address the problem with some of their games…this not going to end up well with this company.

I read it and I get that this is all about the Sex scandal, but I can’t help but think this Bobby signaling to Blizzard get your crap together or we’re just removing you.

Nothing is ever real, progress is always PR, blah blah blah

Yall need to get a new thing.

This doesn’t fix the problem, but it’s a step in the right direction.

With around 9000 employees…

How would they spend 750 million to get the female/non-binary employee number to around 4500?

I doubt they even need the 250 million to do that

Remember friends: equity = equal outcome regardless of effort put in.

That’s because it’s illegal and most companies are smart enough to not do it or work around it.

But it’s unfair to say it doesn’t exist at all

Also, the gender wage gap as a whole is very real

The issues with the games can’t be fixed by the CEO of the holding company.

For that you need to look to the leaders of each individual studio, and the teams within them. Especially since Activision Blizzard execs don’t pass on orders or suggestions to their subsidiaries, or at least they don’t with Blizzard. Can’t confirm whether or not the same is true for King or Activision Publishing.

Did they mention the next expac?
