NPC isn’t spawning the pet, go through the entire dialogue only to be met with absolutely nothing. No pet, no nothing, tried dropping, relogging, reloading, and turning addons on and off with nothing working.

I would also like to report this quest bugged as well, tried to abandon and relaunch and reload ui. Also restarted my game and same thing

Also stuck without the pet Basilton spawning so I can’t get it to sniff my hand.

Same thing here, I abandoned and re-logged and now the guy isn’t giving me the pocket watch.

Found the issue, you have to do a quest before that. Need to do “The Gardeners Apprentice” first then the NPC will spawn.

Yup if you look on the map and see the road the main quest guys building is on, go to the very right of that road and a small building is at the end, inside it on the floor will be a pile of leaves on the ground where the pet is hiding, click it and the pet will go run back to the quest giver and then you can go back to him and the pet will sniff your hand.

Make sure you click/destroy/clean up all of the items in the building. I missed one (not the leaves) and it held everything up for me.

Bugged just like the Battle Even that will not start…
I found the fix!
Go back to the garden shed, where you cleaned up all the boxes(if you are facing the quest giver, it’s to the house up the path on the left). There is now a pile of leaves on the ground where the pet that’s supposed to sniff your hand is hiding. Once you click the leaves, it will run back to the quest giver

It’s what Archadeia said above it’s a separate quest that must be done first called - [
The Gardener’s Apprentice WoW Quest. You go up the hill to the building click on the leaves that gives the guy his pet you need for this quest.
