Good change.
I’d like to say they should learn from this experience and start the next expansion properly, but after the what…3rd expansion of the final patch fixing everything, I’m not confident.

Nor can this be used with other optional reagents… so it’s basically useless. /sigh
Yes I just had a look now and its definately not there (and I checked on a character above Honored just in case it was a visibility issue).
It will still be useful to some of my alts, even if just for the legendary stat.

Lots of comments on the tweet and the wowhead article about not being able to see the item on the vendor, despite completing the breadcrumb quest and meeting the rep requirement. None of my crafters (all revered) are able to see it on Suramar.
Who the heck wants a 249 legendary, though?

It’s not a 291 but it is an upgrade path that is also fairly inexpensive.
Love the change, but as always I wish this stuff came far sooner.
I personally don’t see much use for it, but I can see some players who want to craft their own gear and don’t need or care about having a 291 using it.
It will be interesting to see how the AH goes. Right now I can buy a rank 1 for anywhere from 100g-2000g depending on the slot. Rank 5 is 35-50k+ each.
Didn’t see it, don’t care for it 'cause even if I wanted to upgrade my crafting for gold making, it is still huge gold cost and people milking price of mats.
They constantly do these fixes near the end. Lack of foresight in the stuff they make… if it helps someone, cool, won’t thank Blizz though.
Yeah I don’t get what the point of this thing is unless the materials cost is literally zero and someone is making Rank 1’s late in the game to level up
This seems to be a catch up system for new crafters. Which I can probably now start crafting on my alliance characters on another server. It would be nice if it provided more xp.

this is clearly not the game they want to develop. the ketchup is what they’re forced to do by whiny casuals.

It would have been better for them to remove the number of times you need to make base items in order to level up to the next level. A 249 at this stage demonstrates how out of touch the developers really are.

Lol@this item. This is nothing more than something that will barely placate people who don’t want to craft themselves a 190.
This is entirely useless outside of trying to sell 249s on the AH (do people actually buy those?) or sticking 249s on alts , and it’s only good for a single rank at that. Let’s face it - you’re probably still going to want a 262 or 291.
Thinking past a patch is not something they are good at.
Like blizz could have events in torghast for crafters or wqs to help shorten the process to reach craft cap, months ago. But what this does is just flood r5s most will still ignore.

The Dollar Tree one they gave us for free is a 265 
and look how happy everyone is with it.
