I came across a new issue with this quest today when trying to finish the meta achievement - A World Awoken and wanted to share in case others are having the same frustration.
I wasn’t able to hand in the quest because apparently I already had the unique quest reward item in my inventory! It turns out that Bliz have now given the Ominous Conch item a unique (20) status.
So if you had many more than 20 sitting in your bank vault you won’t have anymore! Go check, you’ll only have 20 now!
Apart from this rude realisation it’s also what was stopping me from turning the quest in because one of the rewards is an Ominous Conch and I now already have the max of 20 sitting in my bank. You can’t own any more than that.
Deleting one of these so that I only had 19 allowed me to turn in the quest and see all the shiny achievement banners burst on my screen.
