New Instance Limit in WoW Classic

This is NOT the solution we wanted.

Ban botters, dont screw over the REAL players!

I was on a server with a huge queue, one of the “dumb ideas blizzard might do to fix this” I came up with was “Each wow account is now entitled to 10 hours a week of game play to limit queues”

You are clueless if you think 30 isn’t easy to hit

To be honest having to farm for mcp to be a viable tank or melee dps is straight cheese anyways. No other class relies on this crutch to be viable.

To be completely honest, the entirety of WoW classic server are eventually just going to be a wasteland of bots running around and people will only log on to see it. This patch will make people unsub and leave the game, and just let bots take over, esp on certain relams

Maybe they have average numbers of players entering a dungeon per 24 hours and decided on the median. Thinking only bots can hit the silly high number.

Can you remove the hour cap of 5 if you’re daily capping us? I want to run 3 min SGC runs and cap out.

Interesting, being that this change didnt and doesn’t exist in any other version of WoW ever.

Using your logic of what dev’s adjust being intended or not, it is intended to farm like this in any version of WoWs history, but not in Classic. Bots run rampid and don’t get patched out, so it’s intended gameplay.

Glitch jumping spots to AoE farm full single pull instances is intended because they haven’t patched it out.

Way to disenfranchise certain player groups while simultaneously having no impact on bots that farm across servers and can spool up as many accounts as they want.

This is an awful idea, implement changes to stop bots from running instances automated, like stop them from fly hacking. Randomize patrols or something.

This is literally not going to change a single thing for bots, they are just going to get more accounts. Which means, more money for Blizzard. Which I guess is the plan here.

Oh, I don’t doubt that you can hit 30 unique instances if you try, I’m just not convinced that it affects enough players so that Blizzard should take that particular playstyle into account when making changes for other reasons.

Im pretty sure you are wrong, because its PER REALM. so all the bots have to do is go to a diff realm, and bot another character up to 60 and start farming there too. Then go to a diff realm do it again rinse and repeat

oh, its 110% this. Acti-Blizz is at its core, lazy and greedy.

Thank you for giving me a reason to stop playing wow… This is final item… I am tired of all the bots… but last time I checked. You went after bots not players… all I am seeing is blizzard is validating the use of bots so long as they are paying. I am sure if they just looked at the logs showing the physical locations of toons to the terrain they would be able to stop botting that affects instances.

This limits my game play in a way that is not based on the TOS… is it possible since i can only play wow in instances for 6 hours according to the math … i would like to pay $5 a month… per account. since that is wat you are limiting.

But then you are not stopping botting… botting will just make more accounts and more bots… Thus they just will logon to another account…

This is just validating that you dont care about your human players… but this will increase the number of bots and $$$ sales for blizzard…

No, you can’t farm for 6 hours a day every day, because it you farm 30 within 24 hours of raid time you’re locked out of raid. Those 30 include what you did on your alts. This incredibly idiotic decision needs to come with an instance counter on the UI.

This is an awful change. There’s going to be so many legitimate players that boost and whatnot for a few hours, try to get into their normal/main raid, and then be locked out completely screwing over a raid.

And that’s why I say you’re clueless

Bad change.

Things ruined by this:

Mages selling boosts or farming ZF/Mara/ZG etc.
Hunters farming Tribute solo
Anybody doing Jump Runs
Druids farming MCPs
Warlocks farming DM:E solo
Warriors farming HoJ/SGC with a healer
Anybody farming Stocks/DM for cloth for AQ40 turn ins
Resetting instances for Jed ID
Anybody who does any of these activities on an alt

This solves NOTHING. Botters are just going to continue, maybe scale around this, and it hurts the legitimate players who may be grinding because some drop rates are horrible (ie. Savage Gladiator Chainmail.) Bad change.

You’re right, now the botters will be FORCED to operate on 3 servers, locking out each server every 6 hours. This “fix” is pure laziness. Shame on Blizzard for this one.

This is a weak and foolish idea. You don’t put in the leg work to ban botters, you just slow them down. Ban the accounts, don’t push restrictions on everyone for this.

30 instances across all our toons. 9 toons.

You’re making me question your commitment to this game, vs easy cash from botter accounts.

The Blue post about “please keep reporting bots”, then you do this. I don’t like it and I do not respect this idea. It’s a bandaid on a broken bone. Fix the problem with botters, don’t do broad restrictions for the humans too.
