New Instance Limit in WoW Classic

Is this a joke?

So basically, for players that play on one realm only, aka normal humans, they can do 6 hours of dungeon farming a day. Now, I know that still seems like alot- but consider that rankers have reported playing 18+ hours a day and suddenly that doesn’t seem like much time. This not only will affect players wanting to grind on a weekend, but players still looking for stuff like HoJ, SGC and especially anything that needs to be fished from a rare in a dungeon.

You know who this is going to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to?!

BOTS!!!

Oh no, I can only do 6 hours of dungeons on ONE REALM as a bot. I have been defeated.

NO, WRONG!

I make a bot on WM, one on Herod, one on Faerlina, one on Grobbulous, or whatever realms. I spend 6 hours a day on each server. Nothing’s going to stop me from levelling up more 60 bots, they’re bots, they literally level themselves. Blizz’s bot banhammer sure isn’t going to stop them.

I hadn’t even finished reading your post and I’d figured out how bots were going to easily bypass this entirely, and you guys couldn’t figure this out in the however long you’ve been pondering how to fix botting?

Hire me, hire me right now and just give me the job of looking at what you plan to ‘fix’ next and telling you why you’re wrong, since clearly you don’t have anyone doing that right now and desperately need it.

Your handling of this game is so amateur right now I can’t even make the ‘small indie company’ jokes because there’s no way a small indie company that at least cares about their game could make this many mistakes.

oh, bless your heart.

Here’s what they will do:

  1. go out into the open world while they’re on cooldown, botting nodes there and further contributing to THAT already absurd problem.
  2. spin up another bot account, leading to… more bots.

In fact, they’ll probably do both.

so my post gets taken down? do you guys not realize who u are screwing over? everyone that farms gold in instances. that means lock mara farming/rogues BRD farming/warriors and healers jump runs DME/mages boosting. you guys literally have no clue what goes on in your game nor do u play it, you dont play this game or know how to fix it. instead of having consistent bans on bots you do something this stupid. nice on blizzard

Agreed. Literally 0 community pulse and rushed solutions.

Let me get this straight,

If I want to say, lasher farm DME on my mage, or rep/rune farm on my priest all day, I no longer can? I’m paying for a game that I cannot play?

Unreal.

what’s next, only 30 bg’s a day next? only 30 logins a day? only 30 auctions a day?

Multi dollar company

I don’t like this change.

The problem is Botters, Fly Hackers, Lua Unlockers, and RMT Gold Buyers & Sellers.

The botters will just buy more accounts to increase the amount of gold they are producing per day. This change only makes it more difficult for legitimate players to compete with those who are breaking TOS.

If you absolutely have to put in an instance limit like this, I would strongly prefer it be weekly instead of daily that way those of us with limited time schedules can still have longer play sessions on the weekends. I also think if you are going to do this you need to be an actual API Function in regarding instance limit that way players can ensure they have enough instances for their Raids and other planned content.

What a hack of a solution by a hack of a company.

Here is an idea, use some of the millions of dollars we are paying a month to actually hire GM’s to police the game.

Why not raise repair costs since bots farm so much gold. Attack the symptoms! You greedy cucks!

This change sucks. Why do you punish legit players? Just get some people to ban bots ffs.

this is actually the dumbest s*** blizzards ever done and one time they released an entire expansions about pandas.

Guess I should’ve hardnosed SGC a bit more. 5-6 minutes per instance will add up quickly. At the least can these lock outs be LISTED IN OUR RAID INFO TAB? So we can just flip over and count them?

You guys are so out of touch its insane. I legit farm DME without botting and easily reach that in 6 hours.

That was one of the goals. A way for players to get gold while cutting down on the external sources of buying gold.

I know about the situations of the people farming gold as it was well documented since the early EQ era.

Overall though there are still going to be people doing this. Road blocks like this are just bumps in the road to people really figuring out what it is best. If the cost of good goes up and to compensate the cost of gold goes up people are STILL going to use bots to farm instances. The methods are just going to change from maybe 20 accounts at a time to more spread out to make sure you can cover.

For every problem created im sure that people will come up with a solution to keep the money flowing. As sad as it may be for the people running these operations.

As a feral druid I farm gnomer for pummelers often. 30 times a day (without doing any other dungeon) significantly hurts my ability to play/raid… I am not happy about this change.

How does this work if I have 2 subscriptions under the same account? Will my lockouts on #1 affect the count on sub #2 for the same server?

“You think you want to run more than 30 instances in a day, but you don’t…”

Can’t wait for this to legitimately only impact the players, because the botters will just buy more accounts to run the dungeons on.

Way to cash in on botters and screw the playerbase blizzard.

It’s almost like you continue to not understand the basic concept that they went to solve a problem: Botting. The change doesn’t address botting as bots can level in the world (which they do). All this does is limit other players capabilities of doing what they want. Just because you think you’re someone with a life (lol) doesn’t mean others shouldn’t be able to do what they want to within reason.
