You are farming pummelers for 6 hours a day now? I doubt that. Plenty of warriors to tank in your place though.

My issue is I have a busy work schedule. I like being able to knock out all my pumms on my day off in between whatever chores I’m doing.

I can’t really spread my farming over a week guys…

30 instances per day means 210 instances per week. MCP is close to. 30% drop. That’s 63 MCP per week on average. What am I missing here? How many raids are you clearing on your Druid each week?

Dang, sounds like you’ll need to find a level 60 weapon to replace your level 30 one then.

Maybe if Blizz wants to make something as good as pumms then I’m game. I’m more or less forced to min/max feral.

Look in the WoW Classic druid discord. You can see all of the screenshots of bags of the green boots and no MCP. You can do it 5 times in a row and not get once. The top end ferals are using 20 a raid. This is without AQ or Naxx which are logger.

that’s not how druid works!

This new cap is going to screw me.

I raid on two characters and only have a couple days of the week I can devote to farming pummelers. I use 12 pummelers in BWL, so on an average day I’ll need 36 runs to get them assuming I get 1 drop every 3 runs. This isn’t even taking into account when I get bad luck on pummeler drops. I’ve had a streak of 35 runs before where I only got 5 drops. There very may well be weeks where I can’t farm enough of the damn things now.

I don’t know what I’m going to do now.

More like zone in get 5 kills in 15m log off and do it again in an hour. Its not a mage farm is a boss farm.

30 charges Worth a day isn’t enough? Pro tip, you don’t need to use it on 3/4 of the bosses.

Spoken like a true Alliance raider, pampered by Paladin EZ mode raiding.

You seem to not understand how drop rates and RNG works. It might be 20% but you can do 5 runs and not see it. So that leaves you at 5/30 with no hammers.

Pumms have around a 30 percent drop rate. That’s 8/9 pumms a day assuming you’re lucky enough to not get boots every time.

I think what you’re missing is people have limited time (re:days) to do the farm. If you had two hours on weeknights but 12 hours on Saturday your farm time just took a considerable dent.

You need 1 charge per boss fight, maybe 2 depending on how long it lasts, to be competitive. It’s not only for dps druid, but the best threat generating weapon for tanking bears as well. It is not surprising that druids use 10-20 charges per raid, especially if they end up wiping on a boss.

Also, imagine how bad it would feel to be farming these weapons the day before the raid only to end up getting locked to the raid because you hit instance limit to prepare for raiding. Seems very counterproductive, no?

And the fights get longer with AQ40 and Naxx the longer the fight the more charges. AQ has 9 bosses naxx has 15.

For sure,

There will be ~60 bosses (not counting world bosses) available when naxx gets released. This means at minimum 60 charges per week (20 pummelers) that you would need to farm IN BETWEEN your raid and IRL schedule if you didn’t wipe on a boss. Realistically, you are looking at more charges than 60 if you wanted to clear all the raids in one week.

You don’t need to farm them. Go get a Hammer of Beastial Fury, it’s good enough.

Not if you want competitive dps. MCP alone adds 200-300 dps which is more than any single item for druid.
