When i first started playing WOW back in the early BC days, I remember seeing an Elite for the first Time & thought "That’s what i want to be with a Gold Dragon Icon around my Character. Well i have this crazy idea where you can Prestige your Character back to lvl 1 for 1 prestige point that gives you say 2-5% buff on all stats. 1 prestige=nothing, 2 prestige you get a silver dragon Icon 5-10 with a 10-15% buff, you get a Gold Elite dragon Icon around your character,…you get the idea, I’ll leave the balancing to Blizzard

Why would I willingly lock myself out of endgame content just for an icon border that I won’t even see with ElvUI? The prestige system for player versus player was so bad in Legion that Blizzard removed it and replaced it with a traditional level system.

To be 100% honest i just want a way to reset my character that’s all…
delete character. Create a new one.
start a new bnet acc dont make us suffer bc u want to start all over
only to go threw my hard work on profession again? no thanks…just the lvl thats all.
They had golden dragon boarders for people who had the classic CE edition and they removed them because they were a bad idea.
like i said i really don’t much care for the dragon thing,…i just want a way to reset my characters lvl to one again anytime i choose thats it…

Some kind of prestige system would be cool without the stat buff. Make it an optional thing. Could work as a scaling type thing. So when you opt into it, you can still run with your guild and do your m+ etc. But this could actually help with drought in dungeon finder. And be rewarded with what you say, a prestige emblem. Just have to scale gear down for the whatever prestige level you’re at. Assuming you’re level 10, your gear scales down to what level 10 heirlooms do. It could be similar to how diablo 3 works with paragon or destiny with light or whatever it is. So each prestige has 70 levels and resets. Hell it could be done automatically and anyone not wanting to use the system doesn’t have to.

Yeah absolutely and I think many would do it. If someone levels through BFA or whatever, they then can still queue and go through let’s say cata dungeons and get the achievements that way. If they wanted to get even more invested, they could have mounts and pets tied to it too.
Oh and you could make it so every time you prestige, you get 10% exp for that prestige. So by prestige 8, you would be getting 80% extra prestige. This will give the incentive to run multiple alts also. The more you prestige, the faster it goes.
And if you’re opted into it and working towards prestige, let’s say your level 20, you only get to use the abilities that you would have normally had at level 20. So all your other abilities past 20 would be greyed out until you switch back to normal mode or your prestige level unlocks then again. It could be called prestige mode!

You’re asking to make the game about something other than skill, which WoW normies hate.
FWIW, WoW ever pretending to be skill-based in the first place is as dumb as it gets.
Not many ppl know about this but there is a guy in Stormwind Keep on in the right wing that can already stop your Leveling process…i just want to be able to start over without having to go threw other hassels just the lvl that would be enough for me…the prestige idea was literally throw against the wall and see what sticks.
