Hey guys new hunter here probably, and was wondering if the BM hunter spec or any hunter spec for that matter is desired for all content? pvp, mythic +, raids?

Might be a bit of a stretch but, all hunter specs do well enough in most cases.
Playing on a competitive level is ofc a different case.
But yeah, for anything below competitive play, you can go for whichever spec you want. All that matters there is what you enjoy.
Start with BM, tame a pet that you will like and have fun, you will be able to play on a competitive level with no issues once you learn the class, don’t let the FotM club tell you other wise!

If you look at the bar graph, 6.4% of all players are BM hunters (6th place). Other specs are much less.
Depending on how you switch around the graphs parameters you’re going to see one thing in common:
- BM Hunter is the most “popular” hunter spec for pve with groups. Survival and MM is used much less frequently but they are still used.
- While survival is the most popular hunter spec for top-level pvp (with bm and mm way behind), lesser brackets have a good share of hunters. Also, top-level is very slanted towards a few specific specs and classes. We ain’t meta there.
From my own personal experience (and I’m an average scrub for pve and pvp), I’ve never run into a situation where I felt that no one loved me. I’m always finding groups at my skill level.

Survival for high rated pvp. Bm for raids/m+. What’s mm? Oooh that spec that’s almost complete garbage outside of low level battlegrounds. Yeah don’t use that one.
