see, i’m not so mad that they’re getting rid of the buff, i’m more mad that the entire reason i made human characters is now being taken-away.
i mean, once it’s gone there’s no point to play humans when there’s so many other more interesting races to play.
…also the rep-grinds i’ve been putting off- well, now they’re gonna be the typical pain in the butt they were meant to be… heck…

Explorer is awful, because Blizzard forgot to do archeology.
Bag of tricks at least does something, sometimes.

ugh, why’d you have to remind me of this stupidity

I mostly had humans because of diplomacy. Now with warbands it changes. The replacement is not great. I have a few humans I’d make in other races now… so free race changes for max level human characters would be appropriate now our reason for rolling humans has gone.

because just like this, it’s a stupid change to human racials.
…also because will to survive is a crappy name for a racial. every man for himself is a common saying, but will to survive? screw that!

Yeah well now instead of saving days on a grind you save time on a grind session or when you have to get out of a failed m+ group.

Bag of Tricks is a dps loss to use, in every instance. Lol.
Because for some reason, it’s on the GCD

Surely there is a moment to use it for some specs though? Sub rogue, BM hunter, things where you might be low on energy/focus/rage and not have a generator?

No spec is that resource starved to use an ability that hits for like 10k at level 70.

Isn’t rep account wide in War Within? Probably why thy did it…and of course to make you play longer = more monies.

They also worked for paragon awards (worth a lot of gold).

With exception to the augment rune, there wasn’t any player power tied to reputation, so you could completely ignore it. The main features haven’t changed since before legion. It’s keys and raids.

Honestly I don’t think its all too much of a big deal anymore Racials get changed all the time.
Except the hero craft piece at the end, and the other armor pieces along the way, and the profession recipes.

There’s a half-dozen ways to get the same/better quality gear. Much faster. With our without the human racial.
The only time in recent memory that rep gear has been relevant is the Wardens stuff in the Emerald Dream, since it could be catalyzed. Which was very convenient to get a character up to speed. But even then, they handed out rep tokens like candy by just doing the campaign, and neither piece required max renown anyway.

Forgive me but I see the new hearthstone based racial for humans quite fitting… always seen human paladins bubble then hearth when about to die so it feels fitting. Do all humans do this…maybe not but blizz favors elves so this was bound to happen. Watch next mechagnomes might get a racial changed to where they count as a mailbox and people will keep trying to sit their mammoth’s upon them like they do in towns.

Alternative idea for new humans racial…let us pick any of the other racials. It would make sense along the lines of the reputation ability and would be about as balanced as you can get so people won’t feel nerfed.
I actually think they just need to add this for everyone and make the racial set your starting area. Just think the whole thing is a mess for balance and forces people who want to min max to be a different race than they want. Sucks.

I get why they are changing, I understand that people would feel compelled to roll human because of it.
My issue is that its a useful racial (if somewhat OP) that is being replaced with a completely useless racial.

But, “every man for himself” is something someone shouts when they flee and leave others to die… which is the exact opposite of an effect that breaks fear effects so you can get back into the fight.
