New Horde leader when?

Power corrupts.

They dont have to dismantle the horde and alliance.

We have no reason to be enemies anymore.

All i want is to not be attacked when visiting alliance terrritories. And be able to que with alliance.

This barrier is old as 2004.

Having the tauren step up as a “star” race for a bit would indeed be baller.

Someone needs to replace that useless Magni anyways

Tauren haven’t been worthy of any screen time since Cairne. They don’t have any characters that make them worth putting in the spotlight.

Still crossing my fingers to see Baine go down in the coming expansions. Just an all around garbage character.

They only get those characters by having enough of a spotlight for them to be noticed.

By what metric? Tauren are pretty much the de-facto soul of the Horde at the moment and probably the most innocent race in the Horde, with only the Vulpera and Pandaren in contest. Baine would also benefit from more screen time and character development, and Cairne likes the direction he’s been leading the Tauren in so there’s that blessing in place.

Now that the Horde doesn’t have Sylvanas sucking up all of the oxygen, we might have a chance for new blood to rise and lead the Horde to better places and goals.

Baine is terrible. He needs to just join the Alliance or die. There is no redeeming that coward in my eyes.

Where Baine goes, the Tauren follow, along with most of the more good-aligned folk of the Horde.

Checks and balances don’t work. A good decision that helps the People can always be vetoed with money because there’s no counterbalance to the moneyed interest except that the guy who proposed the good decision just wants it done.

Trade Prince Gallywix will end up in total control of the Horde if there is ONE SINGLE PERSON ON THAT COUNCIL THAT HE CAN CAPTURE.

Gallywix isn’t a trade prince anymore; he was litterally forced to sign away all of his properties deeds and titles with the position of Trade prince finding it’s way into the hands of Gazlowe who understands that having a loyal workforce is more important then having enough money to carve your face into a mountain.

My parting message would be not to let the door hit them on their way out.

The horde is turning into the alliance, we’re no longer vicious and aggressive but just now sentimental sappy people

There is also another option, to try out :turtle: .

If not Gallywix, then someone else. If you have one leader and he’s interested in the People, you’re set. However if you have six or seven and just ONE OF THEM is able to be bought out, you have a council that will serve money and not the People.

That… Doesn’t quite make sense. Why would one person be able to hold the Council’s power? If anything, serving interests other than the Horde’s would draw investigation and possible punishment.

As far as I’m aware, the Council doesn’t require unanimous consent for any action, only majority.

The Horde should set up a system of checks and balances. Perhaps something like a Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branch of government. Then elect a Warchief who is held to account by a constitution written for and by the people.

All original idea here.

It would be pretty intriguing for the non-humans to come up with Democratic Representation, a hell of an improvement from their previous civics.

I love these threads, they’re always so funny. People complaining about no war in warcraft completely ignoring the world part. Complaining that any Horde character that isn’t full send on war with the Alliance every waking moment is bad.

Yeah, sure, the constant unceasing war thing won’t get incredibly old and more and more difficult to justify without handwaving things. But yeah, sure, let’s have another warhawk Warchief who will once again drag the Horde down with them when the Alliance inevitably has to teach them another lesson in humility. We’re 0 for 3, but the 4th time will be the charm for sure.

Narratively they’re replaced by the skin-tag dwarves in War Within. You’d think it’d be a really big deal to a race like the Tauren and the Highmountain Tauren who have lines like “Beware the deep places of the earth”, but I guess deep places stops at whatever hole the Drogbar squat in and doesn’t go any deeper than that.
