New Horde leader when?

The Horde is a pushover of it’s former self. There is no one a unique identity to them anymore. Unlike the alliance, they have changed leaders so many times that it’s lost it’s original meaning/identity.

The horde needs some type of nationalist figure to take over (inb4 Reddit “le nationalism bad” people come in), but in terms of trying to regain an identity, something has to be done

Did you miss the part when they realized one single person running the show was too much power and kept killing / corrupting and killing the leaders ?

We got a council now

Just as bad, arguably one of the reasons why the horde and its identity is the way it is now

I, personally, think they need to have anduins future come where he’s high king of Azeroth. He would dk better than the current horde leaders. Lol

No clue what identity you’re talking about.

The horde has always been a ragtag group of races bound together by necessity. They are even more so now.

You’re thinking “orc” more than horde I bet.

Watch the classic intro of the game.

There isn’t really a need for a Warchief when it’s peace time.

What I’d like to see more is Orcs/Taurens/Troll having more relevance in the current world events. What are the Tauren Shamans doing with regards to the Radiant Song? I thought the Earth Mother was their entire thing?

Yeah, but it should be said that the earlier leaders had a distinct racial warlord. The problem is emphasis, and that that was an important part of the initial feeling starting out.

That’s more why I oppose the tutorial island, really. The feeling you got making and levelling an early character immersed you in a world where you had a chieftain, the game now is YOU are a demi God.

Gane is always been about you though. Only in a smaller scale smaller victories and it has grown exponentially through our victories. Although there’s more subdued in the story since they wanna keep us not in the surface but right under it for some reason.

Yeah the classic horde were a bunch of misfits joining together for a purpose, but still had a strong identity to them. The modern Horde are pushovers willing to bend kowtow for the alliance and their needs

Thrall was the Washington of the horde so their identity was solid then. say what you want about Garrosh but he still gave the horde pre 5.2 a solid identity, even when he went crazy you can make a good argument he still gave them something. Even Vol’jin helped with this.

I’m not saying the Horde needs to wage war constantly or even need a purely orc ruler, but having a leader that is willing to give a Horde an identity is much better

Muh council
They have done almost nothing and are just a bandaid to the failure of the Horde and it’s leadership post Vol’jin

Eh, I’ll stick to the Council, it means we are a Representative Republic.
The Alliance is lead by a Nonsensical, Archaic Monarchy System ALA The Holy Roman Empire.

Horde is Modernizing and Moving Forward, the Alliance is weakened by a Failing Power Structure.

Let me put this myth to rest, here and now.

Alliance

  1. Bolvar
  2. Varian
  3. Anduin
  4. Turalyon

Horde

  1. Thrall
  2. Garrosh
  3. Vol’jin
  4. Sylvannas
    Nobody

4 leaders per faction since 2004.

What about king terenas. The alliance has had a way longer story than the horde

So Trve

I got deboonked, the alliance has just a issue with their identity as the horde even tho they changed leaders just as much.

Forgive me for my le media illiteracy

Honestly I do have to admit, it’s funny where we’ve reached a point with

  • One faction is a Horde…but led by a council of the leaders of its individual races
  • The other faction is an Alliance…but led by a single monarch as a single unified nation (at least half the time when Blizzard writes it)

That’s what the Council is for.

It always struck me as odd that the other member races of the Horde just submitted to ‘well I guess an Orc just runs the show now’ instead of demanding equal representation. Now the band of misfits is actually a band of misfits and not just the Orcs’ personal reserve armies.

I mentioned since 2004 but if you wanna go that route …

Horde

  1. Guldan
  2. Blackhand
  3. Orgrim
  4. Thrall
  5. Garrosh
  6. Vol’jin
  7. Sylvannas
    Nobody

Alliance

  1. Terenas
  2. Llane
  3. Varian
  4. Bolvar
  5. Varian again
  6. Anduin
  7. Turalyon

The argument that Horde has had SOO many leaders relative to Alliance is fan fiction.

Nothing changes.

Eh fair I guess

Hard disagree. Talanji is the only leader that feels to me like a distinct and capable leader of their people.

Okay, and? I didn’t create a Tauren or Vulpera to serve a Troll queen, nor to serve an Orc.

EDIT: The Council offers proper representation to the Horde member races, so we don’t run into situations where a singular racial leader is overriding the will of a member race. It’s a massive problem in the Alliance, and forcing Horde races into Orcish huts is not the way forward.

You keep bringing up some identity but never really define it.

It’s zugzug isn’t it? You want to bring back the zugzug?
