Apparently they don’t pay much attention to the General Discussions, maybe someone would actually care if popped up on the ReMoP Forums, I’m sure as heck not going to post one there but someone important might actually see it.
It crossed my mind but I’d rather not push my luck.
Yeah that’d be a pretty tall order, I feel like if I were able to somehow relate the two topics it would be acceptable but there really isn’t much cross over there.
Might be able to play the when you’re done fixing the bugs from this thing maybe shift over to this thing kind of angle?
I have the gral toy so whenever u want to do the thing im in
Everyone doesn’t like the same things, that’s how opinions work. Also, it’s like 10 mins worth of quests, no big deal if you don’t do them. All they are is added rp extras.
I’ve changed my mind on the troll one. I think this is one of the best heritage sets we’ve gotten
It really feels like they design everything on the human model first and then just let their system convert it to the other races, which is why there are so many clipping issues with gear in this game (I get that the male troll model is probably trickier to work with than most races, but even my blood elf can barely hold anything in his offhand that doesn’t clip into his leg). I get why they might take that approach with regular gear, but for a heritage set, you literally only need to cater to one race. You’d think they would design with that race’s model in mind.
The mask clips on female trolls and looks like an elephant trunk on male trolls. The only explanation that makes any sense is that they didn’t use a troll model to design the thing.
The alternate masks are wall decoration assets. They were never meant to be worn. You can see them in WoD and on the Horde inn wall in Legion Dalaran.
Topic–I like both sets. My main gripes with the Darkspear set is lacking a troll glaive and the absence of turquoise, their tribe color. I mean, c’mon.
I really wish they’d go back and adjust the nightborne set though. You can’t really mix and match most of it, a lot of it is tied to the robe. It also doesn’t really resemble the armor sets nightborne in Suramar wear. Some wear a kilt like it, but the spellblade/arcanist mobs look way better than the set we got. This would’ve been great. Arcane pauldrons.
The recolor was never added to the game. The weapons are tied to the Legion timewalking vendor.
Very frustrating.
Sure, but they are sized to fit the human model while also looking way too small on trolls. In any case, all three masks we got look terrible. If I could wear cloth or leather transmogs, I’d be rocking one of the low res masks from vanilla.
Both of these are major concerns of mine too. I don’t get why we got so much brown on both color variations. They gave us orc colors on one but we didn’t even get Darkspear colors. They could have at least given us colors that match the troll from the concept art/vanilla loading screen. Or colors that matched the Witch Doctor transmogs from the trading post. But nope, they gave us… brown. I don’t get the decision making here.
And a two-handed sword? Why? I’m so confused by this. A glaive would have been a home run.
As for the nightborne set, I totally agree. I like the translucent feather effect, but I find the entire set to be so cumbersome. The shoulders are HUGE, and the colors don’t match anything else in the game so it’s hard to use any pieces of it without using the whole thing, and the whole thing is just too much for me. I wish I could get that feather effect on smaller shoulder pieces.
I really have an issue with shoulder pieces in general. I think most of them are way too big and look silly.
What one was it? Let me guess, the family jewels one was not suitable for " MODERN AUDIENCES "
You mean those back items and shields? yeah I think those were intended for Zandalari looking by the color scheme.
For the red one you had to pay 160k gold total on black market auction house.
They definitely do, the thing that really bugs me is that they despite “refitting it” for the other races is that they didn’t even seem to do that here. They have belts that angle outwards so they don’t clip on Trolls and they couldn’t even be bothered to do that here.
What bugs me the most is how come the bloodhunter set has a belt that fits absolutely fine on the trolls and when there is Darkspear armor, the belt clips so bad into male that it’s becoming very frustrating.
Why couldn’t devs just take that bloodhunter belt and recolour it and call it a day?!
They’d get a much better effect.
This would have absolutely been one of the few times I’d be fully in favor of them reusing an asset, it could have been so much better.
It would have been so easy! The lack of care or effort just feels disrespectful.
I’d show you on the Voodoo Doll where I feel disrespected by it but they didn’t give us one
Would have been sweet to have the doll hanging from the Icon of Shadows like it’s supposed to be, or even on the belt.
Awesome man, I didn’t see this earlier, I’ve got 4 other friends myself included who have it so we’ll have a 5 man team. Unfortunately one of them isn’t a Troll so ideally I’d like to find a 5th Troll but we can test it soon. I just need to assemble the delegates! I’ll give you a shout when we’re ready, it probably won’t be tonight.
The Voodoo doll we never got would have been just about the most heritage thing imaginable.
