Idk why it this already isn’t a thing. Would anyone be upset if the graphics got upgraded? I’m sure there’s a few odd folks out there that want the wirstless human and orc models and muddy textures but what’s the general consensus on this ?

I’d like to see Retail graphics and character creation on the SoD servers. I like classic and a few of the quality of life changes that have come along over the years.

Improved textues/graphics are fine. But I cannot stand retail’s models and animations.

The people playing on 10 year old computers would cry. AT least make it an option to play on Atari Graphics or Modern Day Graphics of Unreal 5 or higher.
But these graphics Make my eyes bleed. Crap.

I don’t like the design of any of retail’s character models and animations.
They’re crisp, yes but that’s just graphics fidelity which I’m fine with.

I like the current graphics, if blizzard offered new graphics I’d like a new overhaul made specifically for classic and not what retail uses.
Maybe try and reuse the wotlk - cataclysm - Mop graphics/textures as a base.

Wouldn’t mind an update on some of the textures to smooth things out and make them less angular in some cases, but it’s just too dangerous. I logged into retail about a year ago and logged out within about a minute. Just 100% not for me. Any change would just start sliding down that slippery slope and end up being retail.
Classic graphics are fine and why it has held up over the years while other games now look so poor. It’s like the difference between OT Star Wars and the prequels.
The graphics need a facelift bigtime imo. I really do feel like I’d be more excited to play SOD it if my character didn’t look like a smear.
