I am replacing my GTX 770 Nvidia with a Gigabyte GTX 1650 4GB Dual fan
I have some questions though…
Will it work in my desktop PC?
Will it be an upgrade? (I think my current Card is wearing out and getting slow)
Is there a better one for the same price?

Ok, I will look into a RX 570, but for now let’s say I am definitely getting the 1650.
Will it work for me? will it make WoW faster, will it blow my computer up lol
1650 will BARELY be an upgrade, get the RX 570 since you need something NOW
YouTube 1650 and see all the negative reviews
Iv seen a lot of positive reviews to so seeing negative ones doesn’t really help me predicament lol.
Basically all i need to know is it better than 770? and will it actually work in my PC
Yes it will work, and it’s maybe slightly better than what you’ve got.
But, it costs 15% more than the RX 570 and is 15% slower than the RX 570.
Are you going to be a classic case of, “post on forums asking questions and ignore everything people say and do what you want anyway?”
You do you babe.

If I am not mistaken, Nvidia actually held back drivers from reviewers until the release date. Which meant that reviewers couldn’t compare it to the Rx 570 at release. They expected for reviews to go live after the sales had already transpired. Except that’s not what happened, reviewers rushed the testings, and recommended against purchasing the gtx 1650.
If that’s how Nvidia felt about their own product, imagine how it will perform in comparison to it’s competition.
“But youtube reviewers who were paid by Nvidia said its good!”
But really though even if he got a rx 570 thst fx cpu will bottleneck it
I say let him buy whatever and then let him discover that bottleneck

I didn’t check youtube reviews, but no I know not to trust every review lol.
Which is why I am asking here, but Iv been looking into the rx 570…
But now “you” says it will not work and bottleneck?
So should i just go with the 1650 than? cause my pc cant handle a 570?
Knowing what my processor is, can you suggest a better one that is under 200$?
You have a fx processor
Even if you bought a RTX Titan for $2500 the Fx cpu will be the bottleneck
Im saying you should focus on buying a new cpu, ram and motherboard

Yes, sorry thats what i meant, what processor do you recommend for me for under 200$
Would this CPU be good?
AMD YD2200C5FBBOX Ryzen 3 2200G Processor with Radeon Vega 8 Graphics
OR
AMD Octa-core FX-8370 4GHz Desktop Processor, Black Edition FD8370FRHKHBX
Neither - get a cheap Ryzen 5 1600
If you have a microcenter $79 + your choice of cheap B350/450 mobos and a $70 16GB kit of ddr4
https://www.microcenter.com/product/478826/amd-ryzen-5-1600-32ghz-6-core-am4-boxed-processor-with-wraith-spire-cooler
Ok, thank you for your help i will get a ryzen 5 if i can find one for decent price, i dont have a Microcenter where i live though
Alternatively if you can hold out a few months until like christmas then the low end Ryzen 3 3000 should be out by then or snatch a black Friday sale on a Ryzen 1000/2000 combo for cheap

I posted in your other topic in the general forums, but I’ll post here too since you provided more information: the RX 570 is definitely what you should get. It’s $20 cheaper and offers about 25% more performance as opposed to the 1650 which is a 5% or less improvement over the GTX 770.
That said, like other posters have said, your CPU will be a bottleneck. You’ll want to focus on upgrading the CPU, motherboard and RAM first before you get your graphics card. If you do that, the GTX 770 might be enough to hold you over for another couple of years. By then, something better than the RX 570 for the same price will be available. Keep your eye on AMD cards, they’re always the best bang for your buck for mid-tier and budget gaming devices.
AMD is also the best bang for your buck when it comes to CPUs. The Ryzen series is solid for what you need, and I’d suggest holding out a month like Salgeron said; AMD just announced a new lineup of CPUs available in July with pretty impressive performance boosts over the previous generation. If you need one now, the Ryzen 5 1600 is a good pick like a previous poster said.

Release date is on July 7th, about a month away.
A GTX 1650 is 25% faster than a GTX 1050 Ti which is about 15% faster than a GTX 770 (not taking into account how badly Fermi GPUs are aging thanks to Nvidia driver neglect). These claims I’ve seen in this thread that its barely an upgrade or 5% or 15% faster than an ancient GTX 770 are absolutely ridiculous. Is much faster, not to mention using vastly less power in the process. Yeah, it’s a poor value compared to an RX 570 no doubt, but its better than a GTX 770.
Well none of that matters if the CPU is holding you back, which in this case may well be true.
Either way, the absolute “performance” of the 1650 is meaningless when you can get MORE performance for LESS money with the 570.
Creed, check benchmarking sites. It’s barely an upgrade at all. Where are you getting your numbers from?
