New Ghost Wolf Forms

I’m really looking forward to the Night Fae covenant ability. I also had hoped Vulpera Shaman would have gotten a spirit fox form. We got spirit raptor as a glyph. Seeing all the cool spirit forms that can be collected as a Night Fae really makes me wish we could get glyphs for them to be used as our ghost wolf form.

Druids got a lot of cool appearances. I always love more options and things to collect as a whole. Hunters get plenty of cool pets as well. We also get tomes for polymorph and hex.

I just think it would be something very cool for Shamans to collect: spirit forms.

Personally my favorite is the spirit butterfly. That one is just too cool.

Definitely! It’s going to be really hard to say goodbye to these in two years or so when we are done with shadowlands.

I kinda planned to go in 100% blind and unbiased, but you have my attention. New spirit forms?

I always thought spirit forms should be unique to races like druid forms. Ghost wolf is very obviously meant for orcs, being their racial mount and all. I was very happy when they put in the raptor, but that really only covers trolls.

I would like a glyph for a Ghost Platypus form. The greatest of spirits.

Why not make it simple and request the wicker beast form? It hasn’t been a mount, wouldn’t need to glow and can function with the drust masks.

Oh I don’t want to spoil much. One of the covenants has an ability that is a temporary transformation. You can collect a number of different ones for the ability as well. They are all essentially spirit forms, like a spirit fox or butterfly. I’d love to have the option to keep them or glyph them as my ghost wolf form.

This is like asking for orcs to turn into ghost orcs…

We have werewolves and cows that turn into bears and cats. I don’t think for a second it’s like that haha. If spirit animals exist for Shamans, I would love lots of options available. I like foxes, so I had hoped for a spirit fox with Vulpera. I also love owls, so a spirit owl for my Vulpera would be great too!

Hah I can see the appeal, I just think it’d be a bit odd but yeah I definitely think races need their own spirit form.

Orcs and Tauren are fine with Wolves.
Trolls got that Dino glyph.

Draenei should get a Panthara form, Goblins a crab form? ghostcrawler. Dwarves should get rams, Kul’tiras should get a floating shark form and I personally think Hyenas would fit Vulpera given it’s their mounts.

But at what point do you break the game with too much fox? You’re a fox. You may have the fox mount. Your totems look like foxes. Is there a fox battle pet? Now you want a fox spirit form?

That’s like fox to the fifth power. Can the game even handle it?

(But yes spirit wolf/raptor is so dated).

Oh I like hyenas as an option! I honestly wouldn’t mind going full glyph route instead of racial anyway. That way people can keep wolf if they like it or continue to use the raptor one.

Night Fae have some really awesome spirit animals and I think it would be something fun for a reward through renown. Not sure if they could compensate for other classes/covenants with stuff like it, but I hate to ever say goodbye to some of these.

Vulp shamans should’ve got some sort of plainsrunning/ghostform.

Definitely as glyphs, though I could see them being “native” for the races but all races can get these glyphs if they want.

I think it would be cool if each covenant gave shamans a new form glyph. Same for druids. For hunters they could make it so we learn to tame a specific beast with that. For DKs maybe a new type of undead and so.

Would be cool though it could be too much work . Then again the glyph system is criminally underutilized.
