The Vulpine is cool but I’m sick of it thanks of Night Fae.
The Lupine is a bit of a mess from the front and back… but it’s different.
Personally I like the Wolf more but I’m glad Shamans get something new.

To be honest im not all that impressed with what they have chosen, i would have liked it much more if they went with shaman races natural animals, like dwarf - ram, or tauren - kodo type thing. I mean vulpine kinda is for vulpera i guess. Im mostly excited that the door is finally opening, and its still something new for one of my top 2 favorite classes.

Hopefully that’s just an oddity of the picture and it’ll be less-weird from those angles in a real environment. I do like the look overall but not if the main angle you’ll see it from as a player is a mostly-glowy blob.

I see nothing wrong with it, it is a progenitor wolf, it is made of stone and white fur, they look awesome in Zereth Mortis.

May look a lot better in motion too, even when idle.
I imagine lots of movement in the mane and tail.
And they are worse than Raptor so I guess my Shaman will still be using Ghost Raptor

Already made a post in ptr section!! Love it, blizzard finally giving us new forms, my hope is soul shapes all become glyphs!!.
I’m in need of my gryphon soul shape for my Wildhammer Dwarf!, if I can glyph my ghost wolf to a Gryphon I’d be complete.
I’ve never been more excited!!
Vulpine is perfect for Vulpera and the proto wolf is great all round form, I hope they keep expanding!!

Nice. I hope that Shaman get a TON of glyphs that change your ghost wolf form.
My orc shaman wants to have a wyvern form. A super awesome idea would be to have a 1.5 cast time while out of combat that let you FLY with it, too.
It’d be exactly the same as having to mount up on your flyer: 1.5 second cast and out of combat.

Seriously this is very welcome news. I really enjoy the fox/vulp models they have in the game. Lupine does look a bit off but hopefully it gets fleshed out.
It’s not entirely clear why we won’t have options (glyphs or otherwise) for all the Soul Shapes, but some is better than none.

Blizzard needs to realize adding stuff like this is a slam dunk. It may seem trivial but people LOVE customizing their character. Like look at that guy who wants them to add the gryphon soul shape, just do it. It’s worth the resources and time to let people make their characters look cool and how they want imo.
P.s. BRING BACK DESTRO EMBERS SO I CAN CATCH ON FIRE AGAIN.

I personally think Barbershop would be a great way to further customise our forms through the varies soul shapes in game!! But hey beggars can’t be choosers, I’m just glad they even considered us.
Here’s hoping they continue to expand on forms and add soul shapes to the glyphs, let the players really customise their Shamans how they’d like.

Yes and no. They’ve had the ability to do for Shaman at least half of what the Druids got. It’s the right direction but we’re still an afterthought.
