New games for veteran WoW player

My sub ends in October and I have been missing weeks of WoW to the point there’s no point of logging on so I just want to share other games that peaked my interest.

Age of empires 4 stress test was pretty good imo, obviously that’s not the full game release but it’s something I’m going to play.

Diablo 2: Resurrected - I think yeah, the beta brought some good memories and I like the new feel.

Valheim - honestly waiting until full release.

Stretched for funds so I won’t be doing D:2R. The beta was a fun look back at it, but I found the gameplay felt primitive compared to D3. Guess I’m one of the few Diablo players that actually appreciated D3 for what it was.

Hopefully D4 can be an improvement on D3, but Blizzard game development is highly speculative at this point, sadly.

I read an article about the “western RPG” lineup that MS has in store with Avowed, ES6 and Fable, those all seem exciting, but down the road. Maybe I’ll work on finishing my degree and playing M:tG for a bit.

Rising World.
Fallout 1,2,3,4.
Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim.
The Forest.
Stranded Deep.

MMO-

New World.
Star Trek Online.
STAR WARS™: The Old Republic™
The Elder Scrolls® Online.
RuneScape ®
Old School RuneScape
FINAL FANTASY XIV Online.
Elite Dangerous.
Fallout 76.
Rift.

Here is a list if your looking for a new game. I’m sure someone has a bigger list somewhere.

Your looking at a amount of good play time if you play through all the single players I mentioned.

Not partaking in Amazon for leisure. Big skip on New World. That game developer is going to be a bigger, badder Acti-Blizz, which is the last thing anybody needs.

The Elder Scrolls Online is an mmoRPG that has been, and will be around for a while. ESO2 will probably drop some time after ES6, I’d put money on it. They’re probably already itching to tell a different story in a different era over there. that’s why ES=

Well maby post some feeds of anything new I may of missed keep us posted. I’m thinking of going back to Skyrim I haven’t played it in years.

I know it’s on your “waiting for release” list, but for me so far the only thing that’s scratched a similar itch as WoW does (the open world/adventuring part at least) is Valheim. Even though it’s not a complete game, it’s fun to play, and you’re at no risk of running out of content as long as you’re content to explore and build bases and aren’t actively pushing progression.

I really wish there was another WoW like mmorpg that can be WoW’s successor but I haven’t found it yet.

It feels like the MMO genre is dying too.
