Coming here from: Official Oceanic Fresh Request - #297 by Atodaso-arugal
Again, myself and 9 other friends that intended to resub for a fresh Oceanic server, are left incredibly disappointed, we didn’t for a second think there wouldn’t be at least 1 fresh server for us, we had been planning & building hype for months at the prospect. Now, none of us are likely to play at all.
I’m sure many groups of people (as evidenced in the linked forum post at the start of this message) are in the same boat, unlikely to now play at all.
Just seems incredibly nonsensical to me that blizzard would potentially leave so much money on the table. I’m sure spinning up a fresh server for Oceania would hardly break the bank for them.
What’s the worst case scenario? They cash in on the subscriptions from the new/returning players that wanted a fresh Oceanic server, the server dies after a few months, they either merge it with another server, or people give them more money to transfer off? Seems like a no brainer to me.
Please just give us a fresh server

One last plea before all the servers are available tomorrow.
I think the consensus is that a lot of potential players (including myself) had a number of friends that intended to share that fresh starting experience with. Months of precisely detailing and planning what classes/races we should all go, with an exuberant amount of excitement which had all been debunked by the weekend. Blizzard deem themselves to be the brand of opportunity, I have seen very little opportunity given to a region which has supported Blizzard throughout it’s tenure. There is nothing to lose in this situation, but perhaps something small to be gained - something small that should be seen as value to a company that prides themselves on opporunity and acceptance.

Im done posting too. They clearly don’t care about OCE. I’ll go camp lowbies till my sub runs out in 6 months. Then off to play for free.

I would be mind blown if Blizz announces an OCE fresh server tomorrow. Chances are close to 0%

same, I’d sub & play for over a year easily
guess i just play assi rogue with a 5 button per minute rotation and still play and beat the old game with bad ms (rogue is my main anyway -_-)
