This was 100% my ‘last hurrah’ with WoW and was planning to play for the entirety of WotLK.
Honestly 50-50 at this stage. If I wake up tomorrow and don’t feel like rolling on a US server, I’ll probably never log in again unfortunately.

Yes it is, your opinions are baseless.
You also don’t consider the amount of people who were waiting to come back to this game.
Plenty of people first started WoW in WoTLK, they probably didn’t care to play classic or TBC. WoTLK would have been big.
If they turn around & release a fresh Oceanic server, I’ll come back here to bump this comment for you to eat your words.
What happened when WoW classic was launched? Did they not have enough players for a server? big brain comment

First step you have to contact blizzard, they will reply saying they can’t
Next step you contact the ACCC, assuming they will dabble with an overseas company. I think they would though.
and how can we when we can’t even have pvp in our own region, they make it very hard for our region to be able to compete in any way at all for any spotlight in this game

Does anyone even know if those US servers are US west? Cause eastern servers are basically unplayable

I’ll insta uninstall and chargeback my last months subscription if they leave us with no OCE and only a US East option for Fresh.
Absolutely gutted, doesn’t look like it’s happening. How can the only fresh server be on US East? US West is bad but playable but cmon you can’t expect us to send traffic across an entire ocean, then across the whole USA. GARBAGE!!
You know it’s bad when we’re bargaining between having servers 13,000kms (8,000 miles) and 16,000kms (9,000 miles).
What a joke from a company that brought us OCE servers back in 2005 for the same game and was loved for it, back when they cared about their products.

well blizzard siad they would START with as little servers as possible, maybe a glimmer of hope to get one at some point after pre-patch.

The absolute least we deserve is a post confirming why we are not getting one. If they showed us they had actually done their homework and are doing what is best for the game, so-be-it.
Can’t help but feel this decision was made by a useless middle manager with a tiny PP that has too much of an ego to go back on their decision and concede they may have been wrong.

these inital servers will gauge interest, if they release more lets hope one of them is OCE

Except we want fresh wipes, and they won’t drop fresh wipes too close to the launch
It’ll be too late by then, it’ll be DOA because people will have already made adjustments to there not being a fresh server.

Yep, it’s probably the team manager of the fresh servers having no faith in their idea of a fresh server, and now assumes no one will play it. That’s the only explanation behind the 1 server per region stance, can’t wait for the overcrowding issue on wednesday.
Like, give it a chance to succeed and if it fails merge the OCE realm or offer free transfers after 90 days. Seems like they’ve managed to turn a win-win into a lose-lose out of insecurity.
At the very least they should have the work ethic to respond and confirm there’s no server.
