Again, myself and 9 other friends that intended to resub for a fresh Oceanic server, are left incredibly disappointed, we didn’t for a second think there wouldn’t be at least 1 fresh server for us, we had been planning & building hype for months at the prospect. Now, none of us are likely to play at all.
I’m sure many groups of people (as evidenced in the linked forum post at the start of this message) are in the same boat, unlikely to now play at all.
Just seems incredibly nonsensical to me that blizzard would potentially leave so much money on the table. I’m sure spinning up a fresh server for Oceania would hardly break the bank for them.
What’s the worst case scenario? They cash in on the subscriptions from the new/returning players that wanted a fresh Oceanic server, the server dies after a few months, they either merge it with another server, or people give them more money to transfer off? Seems like a no brainer to me.
Please just give us a fresh server
