This isn’t a fix. There should be free transfers avail from the other fresh starts with queues. Big Brain.

Curious how this is a helpful solution when the queue is not from newer-low level characters, the queue is from EXISTING 70’S coming back to play pre-patch and wrath. You want these people who already have max level character’s they’ve put likely hundred of hours into progressing to just roll on fresh, and give up on their progressed characters to avoid a queue? You should have made this server be open to transfers from the previous fresh servers instead so they don’t have to deal with massive queues.

how many people do you think are waiting in a grobb queue to level their 20 vs how many people waiting to play their 70

There is less than 2 weeks left until the expansion release. At this point just open the transfers from skyfury to this new realm so all the progress done is not wasted and all the hours on queue are not in vain.
I mean people just wanna play the game, the “long term solutions” are hurting the game right now.
How about you let us free xfer from Skyfury already? Just got disconnected and instead of letting me back in, got a 10k queue wait. Got work tomorrow so guess I’m not playing tonight.

I’m pretty casual and managed to hit 56 on my paladin on Maladath. My DK is about to ding 70.
Both will be 70 by launch. I’m also hoping to have a warlock to about 60 (might be a stretch.)
I think this would have been a better option.
Releasing a completely stand alone 2nd server AFTER the initial launch is what they did when classic come out. All of them struggled with numbers on OCE. I don’t see how this new server will have a different outcome as the fresh community will not want to move.
People will typically play where there friends play. Convincing extended friend networks to move is a tough ask.

Skyfury already has 3 hr queues times. Blizzards answer to ruining servers is to give you a bandaid and a smootch, then when your new server fills up they’ll give you a free Xfer to a full server. What a joke. Shame on Blizzard.

what about a fresh start for OCE you can call it wombat! and allow fresh from US to OCE, this would somewhat help your problem, but after putting so much time into making a toon getting fast flying and gearing up, no one is going to want to do another 20hrs a day in, maybe i would if it was just 100% OCE even then it would be hard decision, i took a week off work to do it now im back at work it would make it really hard to catch up
