I like how in classic era right now there can be multiple winners of the Sunday fishing contest. Back in the spring it was a winner like every 20-30mins. Last Sunday it seemed the same. I’m sure the Alliance care more about it though since the Horde get a nice fishing pole from hinterlands quest to reach the 425 skill. (pole + lure + max fishing skill)
It would be nice indeed if they had other fun fishing stuff and maybe some chance at finding rare stuff. Although I know they’d want to be careful of anything that bots could take advantage of to mess with the market.

Even just adding the different quality fishing pools from Wrath would be a good change. Nothing worse than striding up to a school of fish for it to run out after 1 cast

Would definitely be great if they did make some changes in SoD to other things like fishing. There is so much they can do with fishing that would make it great. Lets hope they have the vision to do this for us.

Fishing needs to be fleshed out into a hero class, I want to throw nets at people and fishermen should have gotten death grip before death knights! Reel 'em in! Fish sight to know what the person next to you is gonna catch next, the works.
and make it a counter to paladins, those guys need to relax.

There needs to be events that bring people to fish together. The Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza and Kalu’ak Fishing Derby are both super fun with cool rewards, but you don’t fish with others, you only compete against them in seclusion in order to get the highest chances of winning. There needs to be events where people come together and fish. Maybe a fishing buff called “Fishing Friendship” where a group or guild can get rare chances at fishing up trunks with random gear, fish, or cosmetics

A fishing boat could be kinda cool. When I fish in Stormwind I always do it in the gondola. The only problem is fishing while on a moving boat, like the STV boat, is super jank cause the line stays where it was cast.
