I’m tempted to report this as a bug, not that it would do any good.
The new female worgen/goblin models have very WEIRD chest armor textures, which push the textures up over their bosom and then stretch them awkwardly. It messes up a lot of the armor designs, and the stretched textures look terrible.
I can’t help but wonder if this was done to cover up cleavage. A lot of armor that has a plunging neckline on every other race now comes up to cover most of the breasts of female worgen/goblins. This can be seen most clearly by equipping a low-cut outfit on a female worgen and then switching to human form and back again.
But it can also be seen on goblins. Here is a good image (remove the space after https when pasting the url):

On the old model, the striped pirate shirt looks as it was clearly intended to look. On the new model, it’s squished and stretched so that the stripes are all messed up in order to cover up the cleavage that old model showed.
Remember that Blizzard went back and added an “underbra” to the female Mag’har Orc heritage armor, because obviously someone thought it revealed too much (and apparently simply adding an optional shirt or something wouldn’t be good enough).
Even if you don’t care about ruined “slutmogs,” the terrible texture stretching should be enough reason to fix this. It needs to be fixed.
There’s actually a lot of other little bugs about the new worgen & goblins that should be addressed, like how male Worgen ears no longer move around and their eyes no longer glow in the dark, and female goblins all have brown eyebrows regardless of hair color, but anyway…
If that was true, than were is the under bra for just using my shaman Class Hall top?
I’m showing off more underboob than the Mag orcs, hell any other race ever did in any skimpy gear. And let alone certain mail mog tops, female goblins expose far more than any other race.
Nothing wrong looking like Lisa Lopes. RiP Left Eye
Without posting a bunch of stuff I have already posted previously, I will simply say, I suspect this is ‘typical modern Blizzard’, not a intentional attempt at anything. The mistakes like this are just annoying in their casual indifference and inattention from the game teams working on these things we’ve sunk alot of time and eomtional attachment into.
,
The models are generally improvements, but there are a couple handfuls of problems that are actually worse, and are eye-rolling in their existence. For one quick example, look at the ‘warbear woolies’ or similar on the male worgen now, and laugh.
Another one was the whole waist-structure of the male worgen. It was a compromising change in legion, creating an akward, scoliosis pose in an effort to fix warping belt textures. The compromise was to make the whole torso move badly. One would assume that this temporary fix would be removed and the skeleton actually improved while overhauling the models, but nope…
This problem and the steps of it’s progression implies more than artistic choice or some such, this is an actual example of internal problems in the design shop. Lack of documentation, communication, time, or whatever.
Anyway… basically, judging from the other mistakes and design problems, the history of such with WoW and other Blizzard games generally in the modern time, I suspect it had nothing to do with “covering up cleavage” and is just another hilarious mistake from a rushed team.
.
There are a bunch of armor sets that look really weird on the female worgen, now, for various reasons. textures are just oddly stretchred or scrunched around the body, especially the shoulder area and crotch. It’s a UV map fluck-up, you can see how they just subdivided it and didn’t take tim to re-adjust the positions for the new model topology.
Idk, I have a feeling that Blizz overall is going for “femtoon cleavage needs to be covered more” path for whatever reason.
I don’t have a Worgen and don’t play my Goblin as much so I don’t have a say for those two races, but like for example, I can confirm that the AQ Princess Leia cloth robes for Belfs and Female Humans do not look like it used to before ever since the stealth update they made to cover up cleavage.
The bra cups are placed so high up and close together now - they look ridiculous, and I don’t feel like wearing it as much as I used to anymore.
There’s no PC conspiracy. It’s just very lazy programming. Like all the horrible clipping you see on nearly every model. No one takes pride in their work anymore because management cares more about the bottom line than making a top quality product.
