Hey yall, the new warlock felpuppy grimoire is possibly this one; I thought it was the Voracious Felmaw grimoire but Neryssa corrected me cuz that dropped for her in a Legion Time Rift and it’s the black baseline felpuppy recolor

So we are on the hunt for the new cooler felpuppy with the only clue being “Still Smoldering” since the appearance in the barbershop as of right now on PTR does not list a source but “???”

So come Tuesday we’ll know for sure I guess, but off the top of my head I think it may be Mannoroth perhaps given felhounds are bred by Hakkar the Houndmaster and he’s a servant of Mannoroth who in HFC in WoD was very much burning/crispy during the right (plus he’s revived by Guldan so very warlocky)

If anyone has found it on PTR though, let us know!

List (will add as suggestions are given)

  • Mannoroth in HFC - on the basis he is smoldering and is the master of Hakkar the Houndmaster
  • Portal Keeper Hasabel in Antorus - on the basis she opens a portal to Xoroth
  • Lord Hel’nurath on the Broken Shore - on the basis he breeds Dreadsteeds on Xoroth and is tied to that lore

As of right now Emberleif of the Secret Finder Discord found the portal we need to use in the red platform of Xoroth in the Portal Keeper Hasabel room in Antorus

So presumably something drops from somewhere that allows that portal to be activated?

UPDATE THE SECRET WAS SOLVED AT 3 AM LAST NIGHT BY SOME OF US

  • Transmog the Zhardoom felpuppy staff from Illidan
  • Got to Antorus and kill portal keeper hasabel
  • The red portal will be open
  • Go up, channel into the portal with the dialogue option
  • Book will be on the floor

THE OTHER BOOK WAS FOUND

It’s a long shot but maybe the Xoroth platform in the Antorus Portal Keeper fight.

True Portal Keeper Hasabel might be the drop; but also the Felhounds already drop one of the recolors… Hmm

Update there’s a new portal to xoroth that appears after you kill hasabel found by Emberleif from the Secret Finder Discord

SOLUTION FOUND

  • Xmog the felpuppy staff from Illidan Zhardoom
  • Go to the portal after you kill Hasabel
  • Channel the staff

Edit: i didnt realize i had to RUN into the red portal first. It teleports you up top. Got it!!

It seems that for Grimoire of the Antoran Felhunter, you might need to transmog to the Illidan staff too.

No I mean what makes you think Felpuppy staff increases chances :V my friends got it without it, hell one friend got two, but I didn’t get it on any difficulty this reset T.T

I did try on Normal and didn’t get it, then I got it on Heroic and I was with the Illidan staff transmogged.

Hey Baalsamael, Can you post a bit more information on the Grimoire that drops from Twinkie in the intro quest? I’m trying to get some solid info on it and it would be great to add to this thread.

Yeah sure!

  • primary strat is Legion-era Mage Tower: you have to cast Curse of Exhaustion, set dots up, and run in a circle
  • Twinkle has an enrage that stacks up to 4, and at 4 the buff will drop after a few seconds
  • When Twinkle has 4 stacks, he is very large and will catch up to you and kill you if you don’t use CC, so spec into Mortal Coil definitely, use fear, Shadowfury, etc, at that point. While he’s feared quickly pop some CDs
  • I used Aff so I can keep dotting as I ran, popped Phantom Singularity each time it was up, popped Darkglare on CD, etc
