I wonder what is the point of this new system where you instead of something useful you get junk items in cache that you can sell for few hundreds gold.
I mean besides rep there is no reason actually to do them

a bfa paragon chest gave you about 3.5k average gold and it took many hours of grinding to unlock those…you’re literally making that in a few days in shadowlands assuming you do the calling…with a lot less effort required.

Plus these aren’t technicaly emmisaries. Emmisaries ended with bfa, these are daily quests.

try closer to 1800-2000g+ depending on rng. It’s quite lucrative. It’s basically a 2000g emissary, except it’s every single day till the end of SL.

Just give me gold. There are too many grey item drops in this game. I am so tired of it.
I think it’s just a way of making the gold rewards more immersive. And you CAN get valuable things from them as well, the one yesterday gave me my BiS Potency Conduit.
A cynical person might look at greys as a system to obfusticate any subtle gold nerfs down the road.
A non-cynical person might say greys are just a nice way to add a little flavour instead of just a flat number.

In two days I made like 10,000 G on vedorable trash from boxes and drops from monsters combined. of course, that’s from more a little over 16 hours combined gameplay in those two days, but I’m not complaining. of course some of that did come from quest rewards as well, so I’ll say maybe 7,000 g came from the trash all told. Still not complaining. My bank toon is still more than happy to have the gold sitting on her than anywhere else…

TBh i dont need gold at all, token is $20 , but gear is scarce…i need gear.
Why im saying this , because for some reason i spam dungeons and luck is not on my side at all
2K worth of grey items is just as good as bfa emissaries.
