New elixirs, flasks and oils absurdly expensive

The middle class player is being locked out of these new consumes. Only gold buyers and auction house flippers are going to be able to pop these things without going bankrupt. The prices are completely unhinged! Is this turning into P2W?!

Middle class player will not care about the extra 30 sp going from a standard Flask of Supreme Power (150 sp) to a Flask of Ancient Knowledge (180 sp).

This is a non-issue.

I notice those prices tooā€¦ player created issue.

Iā€™d contend those are the players that need it the most

And the flask requires a flask of sup just to craft, thus driving up the prices of the normal ones too.

There is more new consumes than just flask, merely 1 piece to the puzzle!

My guess is very high demand and very few crafters. The mats for the potions dont seem too expensive.
I see the prices dropping dramatically over the next few weeks.

the issue is no bag space for all these new items the devs thought it was smart to add 60 new items to hold per toon with no bag space lol

I donā€™t buy them anymore it is too expensive. Lower raid dps but I have gold in my pocket instead of farming all the time.

If that 30 spellpower is what makes or breaks it for them, then they have a completely separate issue to try to figure out.

if 5 people use the new one its like having an extra DPS in the raid

Considering you need Hive thisle x2 for every one of themā€¦ and there 25g each. I dont think the prices are high. Supply and demand, its first week of new mats being out

Honestly pretty pissed with this one.

Why did they feel the need to introduce a new spell damage flask.

If they wanted to do something special they should have made the new flasks (think thereā€™s ones for non-caster DPS now) and then made ā€œUnbridledā€ versions of the current flasks that stack up to 20, but require 20 of the ā€˜OG versionsā€™ to make.

Yeah thereā€™s limited crafters right now because the elixir recipes are rep locked behind Cenarion and the flask recipes are random drops in the hard mode loot chests. In addition, Hive Thistle comes off Herbs only in Silithus which are few and far between. High price is fine but if you canā€™t farm it yourself that makes it rough.

Was hoping they would see this trend in the economy and during the extended window make the Hive Thistle drop from more sources like herbs in Unā€™Goro, Tanaris, and Feralas since they have hives in the zones.

Everything is expensive at the start.

Few mat have been collected.
Sweats paying whatever for what little there is.

Supply and demand. As time goes, they may become cheaper.

itā€™s pretty bad. Hive Thistle for example is pretty much impossible to farm, Wild Growth is usually one layer, and half the server is in one zone trying to farm mats. Almost no herb spawns and when they do you have a very low chance (you get more black lotus off random picks for example)

They either need to make it a guaranteed drop off any herb in the zone, or add herb nodes into AQ10/AQ20

actually it can proc more flasks. so 10 titans should net you atleast 20 old gods.

Ya, see, I think thatā€™s bad.

Because it means the middle has the highest cost, while the end has the lowest.

Rationale: If the new flasks proc extras, and assuming itā€™s the guaranteed minimum of 2 like it is for Elixirs and Potions. That means 1 OG Flask makes 2 Neo Flasks. So supply of the end product will be higher.

Normally, youā€™d expect the market to correct itself and make the end product always profitable so long as itā€™s an ā€˜in demandā€™ item. Butā€¦it seems WoW Players havenā€™t taken Economics 101 yet; I routinely see ā€˜choice itemsā€™ (ie Mongoose) selling for less than they cost to make. And Iā€™m left wondering why the crafter didnā€™t just sell the raw materialsā€¦
