New Dungeon damage spikes. Am i insane?

Was doing this as a rdps pov yesterday some of the damage spikes are straight insane , and this is on “0” difficulty. My brain immediately went "how the heck are they gonna tune this for higher keys

  • Iridikron :

the triple blast where the tank stands on small circle.

That damage is nuts even with everyone standing under Chromie

The spike waves can also be tricky for some classes who have to keep moving to dps and if you dont know by now

the phase lasts as long as the shield is up and each pulse does more and more damage so its basically an enrage mechanic with a few less forgiving safety window

  • 2nd boss, name eludes me as i write this : (correct me if im saying this wrong)

Seemed like everyone uses the dark cone for balls to slow em and the lighter cone for the wave to pulse quick and get the damage over with

Another one of those “i stood still and it was easier than moving fights”

  • Time Lost Battlefield :

Is a joke

And my group did it as boss 7 after Morchie not realizing it can technically be boss 3 based on your order so it felt like a free boss after how annoying she was

Edit : correction this boss is super super difficult and there’s no need to go back and tweak anything to make it even more tough  - - -

  • Morchie :

needs a bigger model (yes i get shes a Chromie clone) but its so gosh darn difficult to see the real one because the “masks” are scaled to her body and unless you tab target thru them you run out of time trying to find the right one to dodge

That light wave frogger section is gonna piss people off on m+ , and the cones seem to hit you even if your model isnt in them because of server ping and such. Not very fair and thank goodness you added a portal after ONE person makes it through because the joke of having us need to run back thru if we wipe beyond is just trollishly evil

Tyr and Galakrond are fun bosses even tho i really didnt notice what was happening beyond playing hot potato and sand dodge

I just want to mention that the mythic 0 scaling isn’t where the baseline for mythic+ is from.

A +2 has its own scaling that establishes the baseline.

Normally these megadungeons get gutted in terms of base damage when made into 2 mythic+ dungeons.

You literally just sidestep as the new spike is coming toward you. The previous spike/trail fades as the new one comes out.

It’s just an absorb shield you need to break. Assuming everyone is alive, it should be relatively easy, if your party is at the appropriate gear level.

You half quoted my line about the waves.

The entire phase being a movement or die phase means the damage shield consistantly pulsing damage until its dead puts classes with low mobility dps at a big disadvantage

I will agree the dungeon as a whole takes the “dps while you move” design way too far.

Best advice is to make sure group has some more mobile dps classes. Personally I’d hate to be a caster on any of those encounters.

Did it on my H-Pal, we only brought a BM Hunter for ranged. Really feel like bringing anything else just makes it harder on yourself

As a healer, I can tell when you just stand still. And generally, it does not make me happy. Staying in the darkness as long as possible and moving to the light just for the dispell is ideal.

My pug was a prot pally, surv hunter, fury war, frost mage. Morchie and Manifested Timeways took around 4 attempts. But it was a great group and we made it through the full clear.

someone told me, “i do m+ for the challenge”, there you have your challenge.

Except this isn’t M+.

you are right, i cannot even imagine how the m+ elitist will cry about it when they get stuck on +5.

I honestly have no clue what you are trying to add to the conversation. I feel like you are just trying to hit on some buzzwords and trendy wording.

I’m waiting for players to complain in 10.1.7 when this comes out as heroic.

i mean that is the same thing op said. its gonna be a hell for m+, and i hope it does so mythic dungons become what they are suppose to be, not the 100% of the game.

also its gonna be nerfed to the ground i still remember the old heroic dungeons from cataclysm. people died if you blinked back then.

I’m 90% sure iridikron has an enrage timer.

And that’s why we died.

Yep, I was the BM hunter, we had a druid heals, surv hunter, warlock, and a ret pally

For final boss I was the one responsible for staggering the orb explosions so I had my “i feel important” moment,

Boss trolled me hard on one of the attempts, as the group was moving to portal guy #3 we all naturally turned out cams to face said summoner, and the orbs spawned behind us for a wipe because I didnt see it .
