I can see the mechagnome druids moonfire device malfunctioning then hitting like that.
While you are correct, and it would be an ideal time but considering no race specific forms were datamined it seems unlikely at this point…
Mechagnome druids please… I wanna be a transformer!!!
My god can you imagine that moonfire. One malfunction and it will kill Azeroth. lol
we literally see a blood elf druid in game though lol.
That’s the one I am waiting for!
Is it a malfunction if… I hit the button?
evil grin
It’s a botanist, so no, we don’t literally see a blood elf druid in the game. They became Blood Elves because they shunned druidism and that rift led to their exile.
Like I said, doesn’t really matter. The lore is used toilet paper at this point.
I always found that argument for blood elf druids funny, like having a degree in biology/botanism doesn’t make you a druid (as much as i wanted it to )
But at this point this would be a very small drop in the vast ocean of lore twisting they made in the past few years, so i dont really mind if they just let everyone be everything even if it does create more inconsistencies.
And he wasn’t even a real botanist. Dude corrupted nature to do what he was doing lmao
But yeah, everything’s twisted so there’s no point in fighting it anymore. The first step in breaking the lore and rift between NE and BE was when NE let mages back in, the very practice they turned against that caused them to learn and become druids to begin with. We have Tauren rogues, which I’m pretty sure were an April Fool’s joke at one point, and races with warlocks that’ve always been opposed. None of it matters. It’s all broken.
I don’t think there is any reason why blood elves couldn’t learn druidism. They are just devolved Night Elves. And if humans can learn it…
Druids are one of those classes they could give to anyone with two lines of story:
X group of any race began to worship X wild god. That wild god gifted them with powers. That’s basically what happened with KT and drust magic, trolls with loa, etc.
I mean, there is also the “Hey, Malfurion, we’re really sorry about all the fighting and the stuff our ancestors did with the arcane magic. Can you teach us to be druids?”
Lore says all race all class
I mean, its is not impossible for any race to learn any class at this point. There is always an isolated precedent that they could work from.
Some like the recent draenei warlock and even worse lightforged draenei were kinda shoehorned, but its out of the bag now, so im down for them to just take a more ‘‘let people have fun with what they want to play’’ approach since they clearly wont be making consistent lore anytime soon.
They can use all the time they saved on the Druid set bonuses for it.
Hard disagree. It trivializes the character of the class as just cosmetic vs an innate connection and matter of belief for only a few groups. What was once a major philosophical division between societies would become “everyone thinks the same”. Blargh.
