I think druids should be able to get forms from the wild the same way that hunters can tame pets. I mean most bears, cat, and bird forms are the same character models, so why not?

I always imagined it was the animations for the abilities that takes most of the effort.
We’ve been begging for customisation of Boomkin form for over a decade - the Glyph of the Stars was supposed to be a temporary hold over until new forms could be added, feral and guardian got some choices of skins with the Artifact weapons - but Balance got nothing - half the weapons in the game aren’t even visible in moonkin form.

I always imagined a malfurian type look for balance. Like they could get some feathers under the arms, talon like feet, horns, etc. still get to see your character, armor, weapons, etc. That’s the dream anyways.

There are tons of quests throughout the game where the player is transformed into a beast, ogre, whatever and the Druid abilities work just fine.
Support more forms.

Collecting animal forms as a Druid like a Hunter tames pets of various appearances and colors would be wonderful.
If Blizzard ever does add this, I would hope we wouldn’t have to kill the beast to collect their form. Perhaps we could get a spell to soothe them so they’re neutral and commune while kneeling next to them to collect their form.

As much as I like this idea I can only imagine it would take Blizzard a few years to actually do this. That’s a lot of time and resources put into these forms with updated textures and animations. It’s why shamans and druids will typically take the longest for new races to be available to them. IE their racial totems and racial animal forms

The thing is, I’m pretty sure all of the cat and bear forms already have the animations built into their character models. Cats and bears don’t actually have any fancy animations for Druid. And as a hunter you already can use eye of the beast and attack with your pet

this is a really good point…druids are asking for many of the wild creatures on Azeroth as forms…all they’d have to do is copy/paste the animal - and then add race flavor from there…

Still wish resto got a permanent form to help them. Miss spirit. They have hurt the game in a bunch of ways.

Seems like a player identification issue. Is that a player or was that a pet? Perhaps a npc? The current forms are unmistakable.

I have been hoping to see more Balance druid color options. Also a more toned down glyph of the stars would be nice.
if lock pets can get some options I don’t see why druid forms can’t also get some variants
