Hi folks. I just started leveling a DK and I’m wondering at what level I will be able join a party with my friends and start entering dungeons with them.
Did this change with the pre-patch and the level squish?

Is it not level10? I wouldn’t join until at least 15, imo.
Depends on if your friends did chromie time, otherwise you should be able to do most dungeons with friends right off the bat
It’s not. You’re still in the special DK start zone at that point, and if you party up the party leader cannot queue if you’re in the party.

Ouch. I just ran through on a new dk but I didn’t pay attention to if I could queue or not.
Yeah, new DKs with the old races still have to do the whole starting zone. They start out at level 10 but it’s like being a worgen or a goblin, you can’t do anything. I deleted my gnome dk and made a mechagnome dk instead lol cause screw that.
Unfortunately allied races are not an option… so we can’t group until I finish the whole starting zone, which leaves me at what level? Is it 25?
I got out at 17.

Pandaren also skip the starting zone, doesn’t require unlocking allied races.
Aren’t Pandaren DKs only a thing as of Shadowlands… or if you pre-order? Even then, aren’t they getting their own special start zone with Bolvar?

I made a new DK last night and the zone brings you to level 17 when complete.
Yes, Pandaren and Allied Race DKs require Shadowlands. They start at the Frozen Throne and immediately get a quest to go to Stormwind.
It should be possible to join at 10 but I recommend being at 15 because you’re so squishy and likely not to do as much in contribution damage/healing until you get a talent in. I dunno how it is for Tanks but I can’t imagine being easy for them…
