… it’s not in space. We literally go to Azure Vaults for this Delve. That’s part of the storyline. lol
Edit to add in the bit of info we were given in the Blizz news article for those that may not know:
Found within the Azure Vaults within the Dragon Isles, you’ll encounter ethereals, ethereal pirates, and brokers who are plundering the Delve.

This seems super lazy for an expac where we get one delve per patch and they’re all just set in random places unrelated to the new assets and patch…

It’s open world content. And most are copies of existing caves, places, etc.

Recycling assets is fine, especially since the delve is only gonna be relevant for this one season. If it was the start of an xpac and we were gonna be going in for a year and a half, then sure that warrants more bespoke assets.
COMEPLETE disagree witrh your take. They should be putting delves in old zones to bring more life.

The less time spent on delves, the more time can be spent on other things
How difficult it is to please the community. When they create new things, they shout: BLIZZARD, you should develop the already created scenarios and make the old world relevant and show some progress.
When they reuse something: Blizzard, you should create new things and not recycle places we have been to countless times, are you out of budget?

It’s almost like these things were being said by different people. 
But, yes, very hard if you want to please everyone.
Reusing old assets and converting old areas into delve locations isn’t necessarily a bad thing. There’s so many old areas that could be converted into a delve. Could easily do a section of maraudon or stone core. I think it’s cool to give old areas new life.

I normally agree but the Azure Vaults feel like a very lazy pull in a patch where there are brand new Ethereal assets and biomes.
Ethereals are arcane goblins, culturally speaking. The Azure vault is a hoard of arcane power.
It literally writes itself.
