According to GD fun is apparently any activity that requires less than 3 brain cells, and “unfun” (why people are using newspeak is beyond me) is anything that requires a modicum of brain power.
Mobs that require you to be just a tiny bit careful? Unfun.
Dungeon tweaks that prevent half the instance being one player spamming one button for a few minutes while everyone waits (TD cannon change)? Unfun
Rewards based on effprt applied over time that scale up the more you do (benthic armour)? Unfun
And these are the same people claiming to be bored.
Newsflash: effortless tasks and easy rewards get old really fast. Why? Because something given has no value. Only the earned has value.
Salt flavoured armour is a delicacy, one a of my favourites, but I wouldn’t expect uncultured plebians from the colonies tp grasp the finer points of culinary delights.
Nothing in WoW (for the vast majority of people) requires any brain power. The entire game is mindless grinding for rewards that will be irrelevant in the next patch
I don’t think difficult is the right word. A lot of people find Diablo style rifts boring and uninteresting. The race against the clock isn’t what a lot of people are into.
If they wanted to play Diablo they would go play it.
The playerbase doesn’t want fun, they want entertainment. They’re not seeking the thrill of gathering a group of players, battle through a boss’ mechanics, and show off how much they’ve learned throughout the journey. They just want to eat doritos while they queue for LFR.
Oh i read them a lot. Consodering the amount of whinging about mob density, slow rewards, and dungeon changes… well this conclusion i came to felt natural.
Have you seen how many complaints there are about having to do mythic dungeons for quests?
